"Alan...why are you talking like zat?" Steve asked his son, his own deep voice now tinted with a strong, French accent. "You veally shouldn't be tidying zese things at a time like zis, eet is my job to clean ze house!" Janet and Megan then watched in a mixture of shock and 'asmusement' as Steve walked over to "Helga", a definite, feminine sway to his walk.
"Er...honey?" Janet mumbled, "Why are YOU talking like that?" she asked him.
"Oh, je suis desole! My Eenglish is not very good!" Steve responded, as he turned and smiled at the two female family members. "You must think I am ze laziest maid in ze world, zis place is so dirty!" he then apologized, as he grabbed a nearby cloth and started cleaning the kitchen.
"Dad!" Megan whined in a worried tone. "Stop pretending now!" she added, as she held onto her mother's hand.
Steve took a brief pause from his cleaning, and looked at his frightened daughter. "Oh don't worry ma cherie, I will have zis place spotless in no time!" he told her with a warm smile. "Now pardon, I have a lot of work to do!" he continued. As Steve was addressing Megan and a concerned Janet, Alan...or rather "Helga" was busy dusting off the pots and pans ready to make a dinner.
"Mom, what's happening??" a frantic Megan asked his mother.
"I don't know sweetie!" Janet replied, as she hugged her daughter tightly.
