Chapter #5

Rings of Transformation

    by: Ryan Author IconMail Icon
"The rings allow me to transform you into other forms," Cleo said "Usually, I need a template: someone you or I know, but I can also do this..."

She snaps her fingers and you feel as if you've been doused in freezing cold water for a moment. When you had feeling back, it felt as if your hair was still damp, feeling heavier than it had. You reached up to it, feeling if it really is wet, and your hand encounters it much earlier than it should.

It was down to the middle of your back, and you felt it curving around a pair of somethings that hadn't been there before.

You reached down into what had been your trousers, shuddering as your fingers brushed over an opening that hadn't been there before.

"Ah, you turned out nicely," Cleo smiled "I'm sure you'll be a wonderful apprentice."

You finally looked down to see what exactly she had done to you, but your vision was blocked, first by your now long, red hair, then by the two mounds on your chest that blocked anything below your chest from view.

"What-what did you do to me?" you asked, stumbling on the first word as the higher, bordering on adorable, voice took you off-guard.

"Isn't it obvious?" Cleo asked "You're the one that wanted to be my apprentice. Men aren't able to perform sorcery, so I turned you into a female version of yourself."

"This wasn't what I wanted!" you said "I don't want to be a girl. Wear a skirt, do girly things."

It was at this point, you felt the breeze on your legs and the swishing of the skirt you apparently were now wearing. Cleo giggled.

"That's certainly an option," she said "You could leave, refuse my apprenticeship and go your own way. I remove your ring, turn you back to how you were and erase your memory of magic. There will always be something in you, some instinct or thought that will regret not taking your step into a larger world."

Cleo smiled, and you hesitated.

"Should you accept your role as my apprentice, your new form will be locked. Everyone you know and will ever know will have and will treat you as if you were always a girl. Jack Richmond will, to all intents and purposes, no longer exist in the way he does now. In exchange, you will learn magic the likes of which none have ever seen. In addition to valuable work experience that will be useful in both the mundane and magical worlds. You have time to make your decision, but I warn you, should you leave my shop, the ring will consider it a refusal."

You considered, looking at the ring glowing faintly on your much smaller finger.
