"Please become the calm," Petra says, her voice quiet. "I have the knowledge that you are afraid around persons other than the professor who is most new. You are like prey." Only after the words leave her mouth does she realize that that was exactly the wrong thing to say right now, considering Bernie's size, and especially considering the fact that the shrunken student already assumed that she was going to be eaten. Quickly, she adds, "And I have the imagination that your size of now is making worse fear."
She could feel Bernie tense up at her repeating the fact that she was prey, but she could also feel that Bernie knew she was right. Her size was adding to the usual fear of people, exponentially.
"I am having the belief that I may have the ability to give you aid in the process of hiding from other people," Petra says matter-of-factly. "Your manner of behaving, gives me thoughts that you are having the fear of one person of particularity."
Bernie pauses to parse what Petra had said. Petra had deduced that her fear had originated from one person. This was correct. But had she figured out which person?
"I am not knowing who is this person," Petra said, immediately answering Bernie's unspoken question. "But I have belief that if you are still having the fear at the time of currentness, this person is having of power."
After figuring out what Petra's words meant, Bernie nods.
"If you are not having the desire of telling to me who this person is, that is not a worry I will be having," Petra said...
