Eventually, the smoke started to clear, and Corrin started to regain her senses. The lithe woman was still a little groggy from it all, but managed to push herself to her feet. Corrin prepared to face Xander in combat, but to her surprise the Nohrian Prince was nowhere to be seen in the clearing. The prince had disappeared somehow, only to have giant plants and even larger trees replace him in Corrin's vision.
What in the world..? Corrin wondered if this was another effect of the smoke ball. Nothing looked familiar anymore, the clearing she was in before was wide and mostly empty space. But this seemingly new location was littered with huge blades of grass that were nearly as tall as she was, and trees that stretched high into the sky. There was nowhere like this even near the rest of the battlefield. Corrin struggled to make sense of this new place. Did Xander capture me and put me here somehow..?
Corrin looked around to figure out where she now was and noticed something huge close by. It stood out to the white-haired woman from it's steel and obviously man-made design. She walked closer to it to inspect it. It's end curved into three pronged edges, giving it an almost trident-like appearance. Corrin couldn't help but think it looked oddly familiar, and she stroked the curved part of the object and walked ahead. She gasped when she saw the other side of the object and recognized it at last, it was a giant sword, but not just any giant sword.
"Y-Yato..?!" Corrin squeaked, finally realizing that this huge sword was in fact hers. But Corrin couldn't figure out how her blade would get so huge. She looked away for a moment to think, trying not to worry about what the obvious answer might be, only to notice that the rest of the "forest" she was in now was no forest at all, it was actually a dead ringer for the clearing she had been in before when she encountered Xander, only magnified to an immense size somehow!
N-No... It's not p-possible... Corrin couldn't even keep her thoughts from putting things together, the plain to see truth was too horrible to think of.
Suddenly, a booming sound caught Corrin off guard, the earth seemed to shake in tandem with the noise, the force of which knocked the girl off her feet. Another loud noise followed by a small earthquake, then another, and another. Each one was closer then the last. It was too much for Corrin and she shut her eyes tight and prayed for this nightmare to end as she was relentless shook by the falls. Then two very close booms made Corrin's body jump slightly off the ground, before it all ended. Corrin sighed, and allowed herself to think for a few moments that it was all over. Until the deep, thundering voice of Xander spoke to her from far above.
"I'll admit, I had my doubts about this plan." His voice rang through every fiber of Corrin's body. His starting words were simple and true, but they echoed through the field from Corrin's vantage. It took the white-haired girl a moment to even recognize the voice, it was so loud and deep, it made her feel small.
"But I'm happy to see it worked as planned." Xander finished. His words confirmed Corrin's fears before she could.
Nevertheless, Corrin wanted to see things for herself. So she slowly opened her eyes, only to see that she'd been covered by the shadow of something enormous. She pushed the terror inside her down and pushed herself up enough to turn around. She gasped at the sight behind her, and nearly regretted ever opening her eyes. As seeing her former "brother", the crown prince of Nohr, towering over her like a 100 foot tall giant was quite the terrifying sight, made all the more so by his confident and almost arrogant smirk of "I win" on his face.
For a long moment the two simply stared at each other. The minute Corrin in fear. The giant Xander in triumph.
"Well, now, you truly have become a 'little' princess, haven't you?" Xander joked. Corrin wasn't amused.
Corrin snapped out of her trance and made a break for it, desperate to escape from the giant. If there were ever any lingering doubts about her decision to side with the Hoshidans, they were long gone now. Corrin didn't even know that that Nohr possessed such alchemy as to come up with shrinking smoke balls. The tiny girl could only imagine what horrors they'd used it to commit before turning it on her to make her their shrunken prisoner. All this cemented in Corrin's mind that her choice was the right one. Now she only had to escape long enough to get back to the safety of the people she considered true family.
Meanwhile, Xander was simply standing by and watching his little, now very little, "sister" attempt a retreat. He could tell she was running for all she was worth, and he almost felt bad for having to use such a tactic as shrinking against her. The tiny girl couldn't be more than 3 inches tall at this point, and the distance her shrunken legs covered was minimal. So minimal in fact, that Xander merely had to take two steps to block his shrunken "sister's" escape. She screamed out below, her reduced voice sounding like a pathetic squeak to Xander's ears. He looked down at her with pity, as she tried to run away again. But with a firm planting of his foot directly in her path, and not too far from her miniature body, Corrin seemed to stop.
"You have no means to resist, Corrin. Just give it up, please." Xander told her.
He then reached down for the shrunken girl. Corrin was terrified, and tried to shield herself with her arms, but was ultimately powerless to resist as his enormous fingers wrapped around her. Corrin barely had time to get used to her prison as it raised rapidly until it came to a sudden halt. Xander's fingers opened up and allowed her to lay on his open palm. Corrin was shocked to see how close Xander had brought her to his face, she felt smaller than ever from being so close to him, and she cowered in fear from his sheer enormity.
Xander inspected the tiny girl in his hand. He saw the fear all over her, and soften his expression.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm simply going to be taking you home." He told her, keeping his voice quiet and gentle as he could. But Corrin was still rapt with fear. So Xander tried another approach and used his a finger from his free hand to gently "pet" the tiny girl's white-haired head.
Corrin shivered when she felt the massive digit brush along her long hair. She wanted to protest and fight this giant with all she had, but stopped herself before she could even speak a word of her anger and fear. Because she knew Xander was right, in her current position she would be powerless to oppose him, so there was no point in even trying. Her world shook again, this time Corrin saw the reason was that Xander was walking back to his horse. She was moved closer to the giant's chest, into an almost cradling position next to him. It felt warm, but Corrin knew his intentions were cold. She silently pleaded for someone, anyone to come and rescue her from her horrible fate...
