This choice: You ask them more questions about monsterkind • Go Back...Chapter #7They tell you more about monsters... for a price by: cheese111 "So, handsome, what did you think of that?" Ana asked with a sultry smile. You weren't sure what was the safest answer. For now placating the beast seemed the best choice.
"That was... unexpected." You say, a dopey grin on your face. "Not just the kiss... but all of this. I mean, werewolves are real. How is that even possible? Wouldn't humanity be at least a little aware? Especially since you can apparently order one online to be a babysitter? Does this also mean other monsters are real?"
Your barrage of questions was interrupted by Ana. She put a clawed finger on your lips and smiled. "Slow down there buster. You want answers? That's gonna cost you." She looked around the room with a toothy smile. "What do you think, girls? One smooch for one question?" All the werewolves burst into giggles. Even Tanya couldn't suppress a smirk. Ana looked back at you and continued. "To answer one of your questions... yes, they're all real. Werewolves, ogres, yeti's, krakens, gnolls and so much more. We all live in the Monster World, a different side of reality where we can be ourselves. Some of us like to blend in to keep an eye on the humans, but for the most part we stay in our own world, only interacting with children."
You look down at Tanya's wiggling belly. Some interaction that is. Ana lets you think about her answer for a moment before speaking again. "Now, who wants a kiss from this handsome boy next?" The others giggled before one of them beckoned you over with a single clawed finger. She looked more muscular than the others, but her goofy smile greatly diminished her intimidating figure. When you got close enough she grabbed your arm and pulled you into a soft hug. Ana might've been joking around when she said werewolves can give soft, fuzzy hugs, but she was right on the money.
"Hey there cutie, my name's Alicia. You ready?" She puckered her lips and you quickly lean in and give her what she wants. The others cooed and hollered as your lips met, Alicia taking hold of your head to keep you locked in this passionate kiss. Truth is, she didn't need to push anything. After Ana the weirdness of kissing a werewolf had faded and you happily shared this moment with the muscular beast. When your lips parted she excitedly put a big lick across your face, making the others giggle as you wipe away the trail of drool.
"Mmmm, you earned that one. Ask away."
"Well... uhm.... how do I say this... is it normal for a werewolf babysitter to eat the kids she should be looking after?" All the werewolves burst out in laughter, Tanya loudest of all. Once she'd wiped the tears from her eyes she patted her belly. "Don't worry about little Dave here. If we actually ate all the bad kids I'm fairly sure you'd hear about it on the news." You look at her incredulously. "Okay, let me explain. Monsters eat kids all the time, they're a delicacy among all of monsterkind. But we can't go around digesting people. We'd run out of children in weeks." You gulp. Math wasn't your strong suit in school, but unless Tanya was greatly exaggerating that meant monsters didn't just exist, there were many millions of them. "So instead of that, we bring them into a nightmare, seamlessly pulling them from reality. It's hard to explain, but long story short, Dave will wake up in the morning having had the most horrible dream where a big evil werewolf ate him. That's also why you hear so little about us. Is any of this real? Or are you dreaming too?"
"Spoiler alert, it's real." Alicia giggled, pinching your arm.
What they said made sense. You've definitely had nightmares about monsters chasing you before, but you always just thought those were bad dreams. Were all those horrible things real? And had they visited you at night? You look around the circle of giggling werewolf girls. Who was next to demand a smooch in return for some answers? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
