Bill sighed. There was one right answer to Gloria's inquiry. And it was the answer that Gloria didn't want to hear. Truth be told, Bill didn't really want the drama right now. Especially Gloria drama. But this was going to continue, and continue to hurt Tom, if he didn't stand up for himself and his friend. So that's what he did. He took a stand.
"No." Bill said.
The comfortable smile Gloria usually had faded in an instant.
"What?" Gloria asked.
"Look Gloria... for the sake of Tom, for the sake of yourself, please just stop this. It's over. It;s done. Tom doesn't want you back, and you don't even need him back. You're Gloria Vanapolous! You can have any guy you want. Look at what you're doing. Playing victim again. You and Tom didn't work! You're gonna be better off without him. You gotta know that by now." Bill said.
He had just rambled on every thought in his head. Maybe it wasn't corherent, but he hoped it worked.
Judging on the anger building on Gloria face, it didn't.
"You miserable asshole. You think you can tell me what I want? You think you can tell me what to do? I ask you a simple favor and you can't even give me that much? Do you know who you are talking to? Do you know who you are messing with?" Gloria demanded.
"Oh boy." Was all Bill could muster. He instantly regretted trying to help.
"You don't know what you've unleashed here, Bill. God...." Gloria said, neither her nor Bill noticing the green glow emanating from her hand. Neither could have known what the next words out of her mouth would truly mean.
