Character Creation

"Finally!" Amanda cried out. She had been waiting for over an hour for her new game to install. "Mythrios Unleashed" was a new bestseller that hit the market a week earlier. She was a little hesitant to get it due to the rumors of the creator being paralyzed while playing, but her friend Elizabeth talked her into it. She was a bit of an oddball, but she usually had good taste.

With that said, she needed to clear over 100 GB from her computer in order to fit the large game on it. It seemed excessive, but it was due to all the content that the game had. From what she found on the forums, it was just like real life. There were dozens of races, the NPCs had actual personalities, and hundreds of undiscovered skills.

A lot of the game was still unknown since it only recently came out. She read a news story that someone tried hacking into the system to try and pull out more information. His character was deleted while he was playing, and it took three days to safely pull his mind back together. That was one of the dangers of virtual reality. But she wasn't a hacker, so she didn't have anything to worry about.

After plugging in the virtual reality helmet, her vision faded to black. Soon after she was taken to the loading screen. After selecting a NEW GAME, she was moved to the character customization. There were over a dozen options for races!
