Ash was alone in the forest with Pikachu beside him as he soon came upon a clearing in the forest where a couple of kids were setting up as a campsite, a couple of boys were there but there were more girls in the clearing as they came over to them...
"Hi there, you lost?" One of the girls asked Ash as he came over to them who said, "Yeah, the forest travels through Route 21 and I wanted to try to capture some pokemon but I ended up getting lost on the road..."
"That's rough, why don't you stay with us for a bit, we're here for camping out and catching pokemon ourselves, my name's Kiri what's yours?" Kiri asked Ash who replied, "My name's Ash"
"That's a nice name Ash" Kiri said before showing him around the campsite and introducing him to the others here at the campsite and hung out with them for a couple of hours before one of the boys said, "Why don't we have the bet battles again?"
To which some of the campers whooped happily as Ash asked Kiri, "What's the bet battle?" who replied, "A bet battle is a regular pokemon battle but whoever loses has to face a penalty agreed on before the battle begins" as the other campers began to group up...
Soon enough Ash decided to join in and faced off against another boy, around Max's age if Ash remembered correctly before they decided and agreed upon the bet penalty...
