While the giant girl has stopped walking for the moment, you take the opportunity to reach higher ground... even if that ground is just at the top of her foot. You climb to the top of Mai’s unpainted big toe and start pounding on the nail but to no avail. You start jumping up and down but she still doesn’t notice you. Your weight is just that insignificant that even on her sensitive feet, you can’t cause any sensation that is noticable from her giant form. All you can do is stand on her toe and try not to get tossed off as she repositions her foot back and forth.
Mai looks around the room, obviously upset that she lost you after just one use of her shrink ray. She holds the gun up to her eyes and readjusts her glasses, obviously trying to work out what went wrong.
“DAMN. I CALIBRATED THE SIZE RATIO TOO FAR. I WANTED HIM TO BE SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINE OF SIX INCHES. AT THIS POINT HE’S PROBABLY ONLY ABOUT 1/12 THAT SIZE.” It’s a little unnerving and also calming to realize that you were right about your height. You’re only somewhere around a half an inch tall. That doesn’t help your plight any more as your constant attempts to get Mai’s attention still fall on deaf ears. From up above, you hear the machine whir back to life as Mai continues to tool around with the settings. You get a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach as Mai says “PERHAPS IF I RESET THIS PARAMETER HERE… AND PULLED THE TRIGGER…” She’s going to shoot it again? Where is it aiming? You don’t even have time to react before you see a bright green light shoot down around you yet again...
