The massive blonde’s shadow cast down upon you as you looked up at Zelda’s kind smile. You knew, or at least hoped, that this Zelda person would be helpful. Sure she had… sat on you, but you were certainly limited in your options right now. So you supposed that it would be best to say that you were one of these Minish and get Zelda’s help.
“Well, if you’re lost,” Zelda said as she turned from the tree, “then I’m sure you could stay with me until you find more of your kind. Or find a place that’s familiar to you.” The blonde’s smile faltered slightly at your worried looks around her cupped hands
‘Oh yes,’ Zelda realized in her head, ‘Minish can be very shy creatures.’
“There’s nothing to be afraid of.” Zelda reassured as she slowly lowered her fingers to let you see. Truth be told you were sure Zelda wasn’t going to hurt you, but your reduced size was massive change in perspective for you. And frankly, seeing the world from such a small size really drove home how massive everything was for you now.
A part of you figured that you would probably get used to it after a while, but the rest of you was hoping that you wouldn’t be here (or at least this size) long enough for that. Right now though, you just watched the world around you pass by as Zelda made her way back to her horse.
Though the princess’ mind and heart were racing at her discovery. She had been one of the first people in centuries to actually encounter a fabled Minish! And to be holding one in the palm of her hands! Sure, she had promised to help you, but the possible discoveries and research she could make and do.
‘Well, I’m sure we could do both!’ Zelda planned, ‘He helps me do research and lets me study him, and in return, I’ll help him find his way home!’ The princess beamed at the idea. Soon enough, she had found her horse right where she had left it. But as Zelda prepared to mount her horse, you spoke up at a realization.
“Um… Zelda?” You ask, snapping her out of her daydream.
“Oh! W-what is it?” She asked.
“I’m, not too sure I’ll be able to stay in your hand as your riding.” You point out. Zelda pursed her lips lightly as she noted your point, before quickly opening one of her saddle bags, digging through the various contents before her hands got a hold of something.
Sure she had… sat on you earlier, but Zelda was far from comfortable with keeping a small boy in her clothes!
“Um… will this do for you?” the giantess awkwardly asked her ‘Minish’ companion as she pulled out a small bottle. She usually kept these for fairies (which she never seemed to be able to catch), but it seemed just fine for someone your size to fit into as well!
“S-sure.” You stammer lightly. You were grateful for Zelda’s consideration of your needs, but… a jar? That just felt so, demeaning! Deciding that it’d probably be best to simply suck it up, you crawl into the top, resting yourself along the glass surface. Slowly Zelda held the bottle closer to her eye, carefully looking over you in wonder like a child who caught a bug.
“Z-Zelda?” You ask, tapping the glass. Quickly your giantess friend pulled herself out of her little world.
“Oh! Sorry!” The thicc blonde apologized, “I-it’s just, you’re the first Minish I, or anyone in Hyrule really, have ever seen up close!” An awkward silence filled the air between you two, before Zelda stuck a lid in your bottle, and placed you into her saddle bag. Soon enough, your glass container began to shift with the parchment, pens and other equipment as Zelda rode on her horse back to Hyrule Castle.
You lay bored in Zelda’s bottle for what felt like forever, before the volume beyond your saddlebag began to grow as voices and town noises began to make themselves clear. Seemed you would be back to, wherever this girl lived soon enough, and hopefully a solution to your problem would be found! Eventually the sounds of busy people and noise faded into softer smashing of hay, and clapping of hooves and wood.
‘Guess Zelda’s at the stables.’ You determined before another voice outside caught your attention.
“O-oh! Princess Zelda! I-I hadn’t known you’d gone out!” The timid voice of another woman rang out, instantly catching you off guard. Not the woman of course, but the reveal that the person who had found you was- the princess?! She hadn’t seemed to royal when you had met her!
Your thoughts were cut off as the bag containing you and Zelda’s supplies were dismounted from her horse, soon replaced by the quick running up stairs and corridors, the echoing of her boots along the stone rang through the halls. Though Zelda’s swift movements were jostling you and your bottle around, almost making you sick. You just hoped that she’d get back to her room and let you out. It was beginning to get a bit stuffy in here!
Finally after an eternity of rolling and launching, Zelda’s run came to a stop. Her slim, but still massive fingers grasped your glass prison and pulled you back up to her face. Trying to avoid the pair of eyes drilling into you, you get a look around the princess’ spacious room.
“Sorry about the journey,” Zelda apologized again as she made her way to her desk, tugged off the cap to the bottle and letting you get a breath of fresh air. Though when she dumped you out and onto the hard wood surface of her personal study, it did disorient you for a moment before you collected yourself.
“I-it’s alright, Princess.” You reassure.
“Oh, just call me Zelda.” Zelda says with a wave of her hand, getting out a blank book, “But I was thinking.” The princess began as she got a pen, and a few textbooks out, “Since I’m helping you find your way home, it would only be fair if you helped me as well.” You stared up at the giant billboard of a face that looked down on you expectantly, “It’s been centuries since anyone’s seen a Minish, and I have so many things I want to study about you! If… that’s alright with you, of course.”
“Uh, sure Zelda.” You stammer, not too sure you even had a choice in the matter. But seeing Zelda’s face brighten certainly helped your own mood. You just hoped that these wouldn’t be too extreme.
“Great!” Zelda clapped, opening a textbook about Minish and her journal to a blank page, “Well, I think we should start out with…”
