Kairi lowered you into the palm of her other hand while bringing you closer to herself. The sudden movement caused you to lose your balance on the soft surface of her palm, falling face-first into the warm surface. You heard a giggle above you as you hastily got up into a sitting position, flushing. The giggle was one of mirth and innocence, from one who had never known real conflict before. Despite your size, you felt a strange desire to try and protect this girl... as much as it seemed like you were in need of protection yourself.
"Hehe, you okay?" She asked, tilting her head almost playfully.
"I'm alright, thanks," you said, embarrassed.
"Well... you think you can handle my thumb, (Your Name)? It's about to be a bumpy ride over there!" She said, pointing to an oddly-bent tree on a small island. It looked blurry in the distance, as if it was part of the horizon itself. You knew it would take you the whole day, if not longer, to make it there by yourself. The same could not be said, however, for the chipper redhead holding you. She slowly curled her huge thumb inward, poking your torso lightly with it while curling her fingers above you.
"I... I suppose, yeah," you replied, draping your arms over Kairi's thumb and holding on tight.
"Off we go!" Announced your cheerful protector, starting her short journey toward her favorite spot to rest in the evening sun. Her pace was slower than normal, as to not startle you with her footsteps alone, and each footstep vibrated and shook you to the core. You could actually feel her shoes crunching into the sand, bearing her entire weight onto particles that meant nothing to her. What would have happened if she accidentally stepped on you? Would she have noticed? Would... that have been the end? A hapless death by an unaware, uncaring footstep? From a girl like this, no less.
"We're here, you spacey bum. Ride's over~!"
Kairi's voice above jolted you out of your thoughts, causing her to giggle again. Her thumb gently retracted and her fingers straightened out, allowing you to get a view at your destination. You must have been amazed at the view, judging by the noise of approval from the scarlet-haired teen.
"You've never been here before, have you? I can't say I've ever seen a tiny man walking on the beach, and I've lived here for a while now," she said contemplatively, causing you to look up at her billboard-sized face. She continued to smile down at you. "You know, my friends and I have talked about going to other worlds before. Did you... come from another world, (Your Name)?"
You looked up at her wondering expression, and then at the seemingly-endless ocean in front of you. How did you end up here? You had questions yourself, both about your situation as well as the girl still holding you. You could easily tell the truth and explain where you came from, but the look in her eyes was also very... wistful. From the way she asked you that question, it's clear she's been thinking about visiting other worlds herself for some time. Putting ideas in her head based on your origin may not be the best idea, for Kairi's sake. It's very peaceful here, and she's yet to be corrupted by the darkness present in worlds not her own.
You wouldn't want her visiting your world, that's for sure.
Several seconds passed as you thought on how you should reply. Finally, you looked into Kairi's eyes and answered with:
