You stared at the environment around you, confused.
Before even waking up shortly ago, something in your mind, an instinct maybe, told you that something was off, and now you knew that was true.
All around was an endless sea of green, and you were about neck deep in it, although your feet were touching the solid ground; around you was nothing less but really tall grass that completely surrounded you, meaning either that you had shrunken or that the grass was overgrown.
You had never heard of grass so tall, let alone of anyone shrinking, though the first hypothesis seemed a little more plausible than the second.
However, the surprises weren't just done yet.
In fact, not only you were surrounded by grass but, as one would expect, you appeared to be in some sort of forest, surrounded by gigantic trees and thick vegetation. Also, in front of you was what appeared to be a gigantic, wooden dollhouse, only it looked like it was made in Japanese style.
Odd.
What was such thing doing in the middle of a forest? Even odder, this whole scenario seemed kind of familiar to you...
You shook the sensation off as it started getting replaced by anxiety, then panic, but you tried to get a hold of yourself.
The gigantic structure confirmed, in fact, that you had shrunken down to size, assuming it wasn't just fit for a giant. Even worse, you were not only incredibly tiny, but you were incredibly tiny in the middle of a forest, potentially full of wild animals ready to jump out and make a tasty snack out of you.
You had to do something, fast. There was only one problem though: what could you possibly do when you were so helplessly small? You were lost, and it was probably going to take you weeks to get out of the forest, assuming you managed to survive that long and find a way out of here.
It seemed hopeless...
With a nervous groan, you tried to make order in your head and figure something out. Certainly, you couldn't stay here and wait for death to catch you in its unpredictable hands.
There had to be something you could do about this situation.
Little did you know that things were about to take a really unexpected turn...
All of a sudden, you heard the characteristic sound of leaves shaking and looked in the direction the noise was coming from, noting a bush moving.
Something was approaching!
Startled, you looked in direction of the small house-like structure you saw before, mentally calculating the distance that separated you from it, wondering if you could make it in time and hide behind it before whatever was coming your way came out.
But it was too late.
A weird cry came from the bush as a creature you didn't expect to see jumped out.
Your eyes locked with it, and the surprise was even greater than when you woke up in the forest, shrunken.
This couldn't be.
The creature was relatively small and covered in pale yellow fur; its ears were enormous for its small head, with one of them ending with three black spikes; its face displayed coal black eyes, pale pink cheeks and a small mouth, while its petite body was held by two equally petite feet.
You recognized the creature, and couldn't believe that you were staring at a Pichu, a Pokemon!
This had to be some sort of dream, there was no other explanation.
To prove your theory, you brought two fingers to your left arm and pinched yourself, feeling pain quickly spreading through your arm, though without waking you up.
You tried several other times, until your arm started feeling very sore.
This was no dream, and yet it couldn't be real!
"Ow!" you exclaimed after pinching yourself for one last time, rubbing your arm.
However, as you soon discovered, your cry didn't go unheard; as your eyes went back to the Pichu, you saw its ears twitching as it began looking around, pointing its curious eyes around.
You realized it was looking for you and stood still, trying your best not to get spotted; while doing that, you remembered a few things.
Pichu were generally friendly Pokemon, and didn't have such threatening power as its evolutions. However, the sight of its spiked ear awakened some other memories: this one was a particular Pichu, obtainable via event in one of the various games. Not only that, it was a 'she' and knew Volt Tackle, a good reason to be careful.
You didn't know much else, but you decided to play it safe and don't move.
However, that didn't have much effect, because the giant, or giantess specifically, landed her eyes on you, spotting you.
After letting out a curious cry, the mouse-like titan began making her way towards where you were standing.
You fought the urge to run away lest it'd make the Pichu come after you; if you stayed still, there was a pretty good chance she was just going to ignore you.
Soon, the yellow giantess was on you, her toes stopping a mere centimeter away from your body, allowing you to estimate that you couldn't be bigger than one of the Pichu's feet, and that you could fit right under if only she willed it.
Humiliating.
The yellow-furred giantess and you stared at each other for a long while, having a conversation with your eyes alone; Pichu didn't say a word, no wonder since she was a Pokemon, and neither did you, who were simply too afraid of what was going to happen to say anything.
You prayed for the Pokemon to just leave but, at the same time, you prayed for her to stay: you didn't want to be left alone in the fictional world you mysteriously found yourself in, tiny and vulnerable.
A thought reverberated in your mind: if only this one giantess was friendly and caring enough to lend a hand - paw - your situation would improve, if only a little bit...
Your train of thought interrupted when you heard the Pichu giving another small cry, her head tilting to the side, before she finally made a move.
This was it.
Whether she was friendly or not, the next couple of moments was going to reveal it.
You watched with a mix of fear and hope dwelling within you as the Pichu finally did something that shattered the awkward situation...
