“Be careful Pina, we don't want to trigger his retreat” You heard a young girls voice.
Then some kind of animal responded, with some kind of happy answer. You don't know what it was. It didn't sound like a cat or dog or frankly any kind of animal.
“I wonder what he's about, is he like some special quest or something. Or maybe a rare encounter. I don't know?” The girl said as you didn't know what she was talking about. She was talking like it was some kind of game.
Groggily you get up, moving around which is something the girl noticed.
“Oh, he's up” She said in surprise.
Rubbing your eyes, your far to tired to deal with this girl. You open your eyes and look to the girl. You expected a young girl near your sleeping form. You surely didn't expect seeing a giant cat girl looking down to you with a giant blue dragon flying around her head. Which is what you got.
“Holy crap!!” You shout in fear. Backing up you could see the girl looking down at you. She was young like you predicated but she was absolutely massive. You move back trying to get away from her, but she stopped.
“Wait don't go.” She said “I mean... just relax okay?”
“What’s happening” You shout up to her “Why is there a dragon! Why are you so big! Why are you half cat!”
“Um... cause i picked my race as a Cait Sith, which let me get Pina as a beast.” She said pointing to her dragon “And I'm normal size, your the one thats smaller then everyone else in the game”
You looked around and she was right. The trees, the grass, everything was normal size. You were just smaller. “Wait, Cait Sith? What even is that? And what are you talking about a game?”
It was this girls face that looked shocked. Before she got a serious face, getting down on her knees you back up again. “Are... are you a NPC?”
“No I'm not a NPC. Im real, your real!” You shout back to her.
“Quickly, do what i do” She said, scratching down on an invisible wall. This brought up something in front of her which you only could describe as a game menu. You did the same and the same menu popped up in front of you, only much... much smaller
“Oh my gosh, your a player! Just... smaller” She said with her hand to her mouth.
“Can you explain whats going on, you keep talking about Players and Games. Whats going on?”
She looked at you confused. “You... you don't know your in Alfhiem.” You nod your head no as she continues, the Menu turning off after time “Its a game, developed for the Nerve Gear. You know what the Nerve gear is right?” You nod your head no again. “Do... do you even know who you are?”
“Yes, I'm (Your Name).” You say trying to calm down.
The giant cat girl smiled down at you and told you her name “My Name is Silica. Or at least my Game Name is”
