"I'm sorry, Supergirl, but you'll have to get used to being in my socks for a while, at least until I can bring you to my Secret-Agent friend, Alex." Rudy declared, releasing her grip on her one-inch-tall Hero to reveal a blue and red sock depicting the House of El's symbol on both sides below her. "Of course, Ruby had no way of knowing that Supergirl knew Alex was and was her adopted sister.
Kara fell at an alarming rate, unable to resume flight before hitting the slightly damp fabric inside Ruby's socks. Was she wearing these earlier today? Kara asked herself, seeing the light above her slowly diminishing by the moment as she slipped into the section where Ruby's toes would usually occupy.
Was she trapped inside of the teenage girl's sweaty sock? No, at least not yet anyway. Ruby still hadn't done anything to ensure she wouldn't be able to escape. But that would quickly change as Kara looked towards the exit, seeing a massive Ruby, her face obscured by the sight of her gigantic toes.
"Ruby, wait, you don't have to do this!" Kara begged, willing to go along obediently if it meant she would get to see Alex. But Ruby wasn't listening.
Ruby's toes crawled into the sock first, inching their way towards Supergirl as her voice boomed from outside the giant sock. "I promise I'll be as careful as possible if you crawl under my toes willingly," Ruby said, instructing Supergirl on where she should move next.
Already, Kara was trapped, helpless to watch as the gigantic digits bulldozed their way towards her tiny body. "Where are you, Supergirl?" Ruby asked, expecting to feel Supergirl flying into her foot in a desperate attempt to escape her sock.
"Oh, there you are!" Ruby excitedly announced as she felt the tiny adult woman slide between her toes, instinctively curling them around her to prevent Supergirl's escape.
Finally, Ruby pulled the sock up to her ankle, trapping Supergirl inside completely and drastically reducing her chance of escape. However, Ruby was a clever girl, and she refused to take any chances after watching her idol shrink down to a fraction of her already reduced size. The only way to keep Supergirl safe was to keep her from using her powers, which meant keeping her imprisoned between her toes until she could come up with a better solution.
She quickly walked towards her bed, the sound of her powerful stomping feet causing Kara's delicate ears to ring as she struggled to pull her face free of Ruby's toe web-space. However, with Ruby's toes still curled to keep Kara in place, she found this task more difficult to accomplish than she would have liked.
The young girl sat on her bed with a plop, leaning forwards to reach under her bed and pull out one of her favorite pairs of sneakers. She held a pair of black Converse Chuck Taylors in her hands. The white parts of her footwear stained green and brown after wearing them for hours in her backyard practicing her soccer skills. Fortunately for Kara, this was a detail she could not notice inside Ruby's sock.
Ruby dropped her left shoe on the floor first, then proceed to pull the right over Supergirl, further darkening the tiny Kryptonian's world as Ruby crammed her foot inside, finally allowing her toes to relax. "I hope you'll understand, Supergirl. I didn't have any other choice." Ruby said, genuinely sad that she had to put her idol through the humiliation of being trapped inside her shoe.
Kara, of course, wasn't very understanding of Ruby's thought process. Ruby could have kept her in several different places, and she decided that her giant sweaty feet were the best option available. Ruby was a teenage athlete, so naturally, Kara didn't expect this to be a pleasurable experience, but the reality was even worse than she could have imagined.
Already the heat from Ruby's body had begun to build up around her as she felt Ruby stand up and forcefully shove her left foot into the remaining converse sneaker. While slow, she realized that this steady build-up in heat would eventually turn Ruby's footwear into a sauna. Not even trying to think about how much that could make Ruby sweat as a result.
"Okay, Supergirl, I need you to hang out down there for a while between my toes where it's nice and safe while I _______," Ruby said, giving Kara a pretty good idea of how she could expect the rest of the night to go.
1. "..bring you to Alex's. She'll know what to do with you." Ruby decides to talk a walk to Alex's Apartment, allowing the summer heat to cook Supergirl alive inside her shoe.
2. "..eat dinner with my mom." It's too late for Ruby to go to Alex's apartment on her own, so she makes the executive decision to leave Supergirl shrunk until tomorrow. Maybe she'll even run some soccer drills in the backyard after she eats.
3. "..go to the movies." Ruby and Sam spend the night bonding at the movies, with Kara third-wheeling their mother/daughter bonding time from the confines of Ruby's sneaker.
