You enjoyed the party for a half hour or so, chatting with locals and fellow trick-or-treaters, but eventually, you remembered you only had a limited amount of time to enjoy this halloween, and you weren’t planning on spending it all here. You’ve gotten your fair share of laughs and treats… now, where were the thrills? Halloween should be a time of good ol’ spooky fun, especially since you were alone this year, but you haven’t really done anything scary yet. Thus, you decided to ask the locals for a place that’s creepy, but not too creepy… and their answer was always Carni’s Dread Acres. It wasn’t the scariest attraction on Vampyre Lane, but it was described as one of the most entertaining, so despite your friend’s cowardly hesitations, you convinced them to go.
Vampyre Lane was a curious place. It seemed to sprawl from horizon to horizon, and yet, when you set your mind to travelling someplace, you find yourself there in seconds, no matter how far away it seemed. From the outside, it seemed like just a little gated community in the woods, but on the inside, it seemed as big as an entire city. How did you never notice this place before? Pushing those thoughts aside, you were glad to finally reach the ‘Dread Acres’. It was apparently just a farm on the outskirts of Vampyre Lane that the owner re-purposed into a haunted house every Halloween. It seemed fairly popular for how out-of-the-way it was, with a dozen trick-or-treaters lining up to be the next on the hayride, which was apparently one of the funnest attractions in the area. That was the thing you were most excited for, but the line seemed like it would take forever… maybe you could do a run through of the main farmhouse while you wait?
