As Makoto and those that had revealed themselves grouped together to talk about what to do now, and those that hadn't filed out of the gym, heading to other parts of the school, none realised that there was a stranger amongst them. Someone other than the twelve remaining students had wound up in one of their bodies. However, there were certainly clues there if anyone dared to pay attention. After the flash that had swapped them, Monokuma had simply disappeared like he often did. No staying to gloat about how powerful he was to have done this to all of them, no reminders about how it'd only end if one of them committed murder, not even a goodbye. The reason behind his sudden disappearance was rather simple, actually; no one was controlling him at the moment.
Needless to say, the mastermind was mentally cursing up a storm inside their borrowed head. They really should have known better than to use this motive without properly testing it first. Whatever it was they'd used to swap everyone's bodies had apparently slipped from their control, and had involved them in the swaps as well. Of course, they could be in control regardless of whose body they were in. What was really bothersome about this, however, was the fact that someone was now in their body. Someone now knew the true identity of the mastermind, and that wasn't something they couldn't have happen quite yet in their little game. Something would need to be done to deal with that.
Of course, the mastermind's involvement in the swap had left one very confused student sitting in the Monokuma control room. While they knew the swap was going to happen, they had no idea where they were, how exactly they got here, or why the body they were in was even still alive. But who was this (un)lucky student who'd found themselves stuck in the body of the mastermind?
