Don't Drink Strange Droplets

    by: Frost Author IconMail Icon
It had been hours since the group had been locked down in the air-raid shelter. They had been walking in circles for the better half of that time, seeing the same rooms over and over again with no escape in sight. Resources had been running low now that the group had tore through the snacks in Maya’s bag, and things were looking dire.

They took shelter in one of the small chambers. It had been awfully quiet save for the consistent dripping water from the ceiling.

“AGH!” Eikichi cried as he gripped his spiky hair in his hands. “I can’t take it anymore. It’s dark. I’m starving. My throat is dry.”

“Drink the cave water then,” Lisa spat, having come to the conclusion that she wouldn’t drink it until someone else did it first. And if Eikichi died, then he died.

“You’re trying to kill me, aren’t you, Ginko?” he shot back, nonplussed. She spat her tongue out in response.

“You could catch it as it’s falling from the ceiling,” Maya suggested, goodnaturedly, but unhelpful all the same. Eikichi only shot her a dirty look.

Yukino chuckled. “It’d be funny to see him try to lap it out of the puddle.”

“You’re being childish,” Tatsuya said coldly. He flicked his lighter, finding a way to entertain himself in the barren room.

Eikichi sneered. “You drink it then.”

“I will,” he said back coolly. He got up and slowly strolled over to the puddle of water. He cupped his hands under the drops and caught it as it fell. Taking a few drinks, he turned to the others. “See? It’s fine.”

“Yeah, I’m not drinking that,” Yukino said, resting her head back against the cave wall.

Reassured by Tatsuya’s bold drink, Eikichi followed suit but took a much less graceful approach as he stuck his tongue out to catch the droplets.

The group decided to rest and sleep with one staying up as lookout. Maya had just taken over for Tatsuya, but began to feel a lull herself…

“Ho oi dik!” Ginko cried in Cantonese. “Tatsuya’s soooo teeeeeeny”

Tatsuya woke to three female faces hanging over him, Lisa’s being the closest. He tried to push her off, but found that her head was too far to reach.

“What the?” he groaned as he sat up and slowly pieced together the fact that he had shrunk down. He glared up at the three girls taking up his personal space, realizing that things were only going to get worse.

“I call dibs!” Lisa chirped, scooping up the shrunken teenager and holding him close to her face.

Tatsuya fought against the blonde giantess' grip, completely frustrated that he was rendered powerless by just her fingers. He planted his foot against her cheek In a useless attempt to kick free while she giggled at the tickling sensation. Maya and Yukino crowded around Lisa, wanting to get a better look at him.

“Let me hold him!” Maya yelled, reaching out for Tatsuya Lisa quicky ducked the attempt to steal him and backed away, clutching the shrunken Tatsuya close to her chest.

Tatsuya only grumbled as his face was pressed into the soft fabric of Ginko’s clothes. Lisa’s fingers tightened around him, restricting his movement even more.

“He’s mine,” Lisa cried a bit too defensively. “I called dibs already.”

“Just give him here for a second!” Yukino called, also taking a swipe at Tatsuya.
