Chapter #6

The endless hunger of the super-sized stallion

    by: Unknown
...but the moment the powder had sank into his stomach, it dissolved before it could take any effect. Big Mac tasted little more than parsley as his teeth and tongue completely eradicated the entire tray of cobbler in but a few seconds, only left as disappointed as before when he tossed the emptied glass dish over his back, smashing it against the wall. "MORE!!!"

With that, any deluded remain of hope Applejack might have been clinging onto was crushed into a fine dust, blowing away to give way for a tidal wave of absolute dread that washed its way into her chest. Not only was her smartest and most connected friend's only word of help totally useless against his hunger, but she was alone with an unstoppable eating machine in a house that was stark clean of anything edible, lest he was so wrought with hunger that biting right into the table sounded tempting.

"Big Mac, we're...we're out of food." Applejack looked down so her hat covered her face, having finally reached the moment that she was terrified of reaching for quite some time.

At the very least, though, Big Mac sanity hadn't seemed to have dwindled that much, and Applejack let out a small trace of the breath she'd been holding as he only stared down at all the plates, trays, and cookware that were all licked clean, a totally blank expression along his face. She sucked in even more air, though, when he dazedly turned his head to the double doors leading outside, a lethargic smile reaching across his muzzle.

"B-Big Mac, no!" Applejack begged as he rose up from the floor, the table getting knocked over by his stomach as he turned around, the loud crashes of several plates and glass articles smashing along the floor briefly rendering Applejack deaf. The excessive weight that hardened his already distended belly reduced his walk into an awkward waddle, but Big Mac's determination wasn't challenged in the slightest as he pushed himself right up against the entire doorway's wall, knowing full well how useless opening them would be.

Applejack was broken out of her shock when all the wall around the doorway was torn right of of the nails and pipes holding them all together, an enormous crater having been dug into the side of their house as Big Mac marched on towards the apple trees, seemingly oblivious to what he'd just done. Applejack had no idea what to stare at first, mouth agape as her eyes darted between the smashed plates, the hole, and Big Mac, switching between them over and over again, but caught herself and ran after him.

"BIG MAC! STOP!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, leaping and grabbing onto his tail, but she couldn't even tell if it was intentional when he gave it a flick that threw her over to the side, her back slamming into the trunk of an apple tree. She groaned in pain, massaging what she could tell was going to be a nasty bruise as she got back her footing, but didn't bother to chase as he looked back at her brother navigating down through the acres of their land. Without a word, she turned the other way and ran as fast as she could back towards the barn, willing to drag Twilight back to the house if she was busy fighting some new monster, if need be.

As for Big Mac, his mind was hammered upon by the scent of fruit that was starting to surround him. That of vitamins. Calories. Food, food for as many miles as a pony's eyes could see. Not wanting to waste any more time that'd let his stomach empty out some more, he reached out and grabbed the thick end to the branch of a nearby tree, pulling it down so the apples were right within biting distance. Of course, to pluck and eat the apples one would've just been using a breath mint to treat the rate of his hunger, so he opened his mouth wide and bit down on a sizable portion of the branch, the apples getting sucked clean off as he pulled it away. For all the apple cobbler and pie he'd gone through at breakfast, the taste of the apples in their pure form was an explosion of delight on his taste buds, and even the leaves gave it a musky flavor that accentuated the quite nicely.

Combined with his hunger, it made him all the more quick to draw off more of the branch, and he took another bite, leaving a noticeable amount of the foot at the tree's leaves totally bare...

.....

The sun glared down on Mac's shoulders as the day reached the dead of noon, timed perfectly as he finished off the last of a tree standing right in the midpoint of the farm's acres. From up above, a long line was visible in the green of the trees from those that was stripped totally bare and dead of all their nutrients, all to become one with Big Mac's ever-growing mass.

He could tell he was taking less effort to reach the higher portions of the trees, probably by an extra two feet of height since he'd wandered into the orchard, but then he wasn't gnawed upon by his endless need for food, he felt his massive arms being pushed higher up as his backside became even more vast, his stomach having enlarged to obscure more of his expansive frame, a few extra feet of volume bloating out to fight against the super-elasticity of the overalls he wore. The shirt underneath'd ridden up enough for the red fur underneath to be visible, the straps digging deep into the two mounts of his chest, but all of those were but mere details in the back of his mind, his top (and only) priority of the past month having never changed.

So many trees remained ahead to feast on, with even more at either side, or even behind, but hat didn't waylay him in the least. At the very least, he saw it as a challenge, something the growing rumbling of his stomach was more then excited to see him pursue...
