As the gigantic grass type ran after her trainer, you instinctively held on to the stem of the leaf on her head as it pressed down on you. Even though you wanted to get the hell away from this scheming monster as quickly as possible, you weren’t willing to risk what might happen if your tiny body was flung off of hers while she was in a sprint. Your will to survive overpowered your will for freedom. For now you simply hoped that once she caught back up with her trainer at the campsite, you would have the chance to escape or possibly get her trainer’s attention. Since the grass creature didn’t have a lot of options for hiding you, you were fairly confident that you would get plenty of opportunities to do one of these things very soon. It was a simple plan, but based on your current situation, you didn’t need anything complex. The simple option would be more than enough.
And sure enough you could see the clearing where Kris had her tent set up. You stayed silent for now, hoping Chikorita would drop her guard enough for you to make your move, but before you had the chance to do anything, something you didn’t consider happened.
“Okay, Chikorita, you’ve had a busy day. Now be sure to get plenty of rest for tomorrow.” Her trainer said in a cheerful tone. You didn’t understand why she would say this so soon when it was still in the middle of daylight, but soon you saw something this filled you with dread. The girl was holding a small sphere of some sort, and it didn’t take a genius to figure out what that was.
“WAIT! NO-“ but that was all you got to say before a beam of energy shot out from the pokeball and covered Chikorita and, to your horror, yourself. The beam was not discriminating between its intended target and her tiny captive. It seemed to be treating you like it would treat a held item for Pokemon.
Everything was bright shades of red and white now. Your body was seemingly converted to energy and shrunk down even further to fit inside the pokeball along with Chikorita. Suddenly you found yourself in a large open space. It looked kind of like a room but with a sort of wireframe look to it. Kind of like how old movies would portray cyberspace. Was this what the inside of a pokeball was really like? Before you could think about this any further, you felt a powerful tremor behind you. Looking back you saw your worst nightmare come to life. Chikorita stood over you with a smug grin. She won. She managed to kidnap you and smuggle you into her pokeball without anyone noticing. And she intended to keep you here as her own private toy.
