You look up at your partner as she stared over your shoulder, the sight of her wide, nervous eyes grips you with fear. Were you not expecting a response from the ghost? Did Mary not expect anything? Did you?
"Don't look," Mary whispers.
You remain silent as you ask yourself what had Mary so terrified all of a sudden. What was behind you that was so terrifying? Then you feel the planchette move, you look down to see what it was saying.
Y-O-U-R F-A-C-E U-N-D-E-R F-E-E-T
"What did she say?" Mary asked, still staring ahead as she reached with her other hand for your camera.
"The obvious," You respond, fighting the urge to look behind you. "What is back th-?"
"She is," Mary replies blankly, "She's got me under some sort of fear spell," She continued shaking slightly in what looked like terror mixed with anger.
You stay silent for a short moment as your heartbeat drums in your ears before you decide to try and distract the ghost long enough for Mary to take the picture.
"What's your name?" You ask, but knowing that was such a dull, predictable question.
R-E-I, the board responded.
You looked up at Mary as she lifted the camera, fear still shining in her eyes, you begged her with your gaze to move faster.
"What is she doing?" You ask, your voice quivering.
"She's moving closer," Mary replies as you hear a slight creaking of the floor behind you, "She's right behind you now."
You take a deep breath as you struggle to control your fear as you hear increasingly loud and close, heavy breathing over your right shoulder. Even so, you press on.
You try and think of another question to stall for time before Rei catches on to you and Mary's plan but-...
"Don't open your mouth," Mary said simply, making your blood run cold.
You wanted to ask why, but you didn't dare risk opening your mouth to say anything.
But that question would be answered in the following seconds anyway, and in the most hair raising way you could think of.
You watched in petrified terror as Rei's wide, shapely, but massive and horrifically filthy foot slowly extended out in front of your face over your right shoulder. Her toenails were painted black and her skin was chalk white but her toes and soles were blackened with grime mixed with sweat. You cringed at the sight of the gunk in the crevices between her toes as she spread them with a long moan behind you.
Then you began to retch and gag on the ghastly smell, it burned in your nostrils and you felt your eyes already begin to tear up. You could feel more pressure on your shoulder as she began to relax her calf before curling her foot back toward your face, letting you take in the sight of her dirt crusted, sweat dripping sole.
You found it hard to move, perhaps for your mortal terror, but even if it was easy, you willed yourself not to do so. You needed to distract Rei just long enough for Mary to take a picture.
Tears ran down your face both for the intensifying smell and the horror as she curled her big toe back to poke your lips.
"Open," Rei whispered, sounding uncomfortably close your head and sending shivers of disgust and dread down through your body.
And with her black colored footsweat dripping on your tightly closed lips you had a decision to make.
1). Open your mouth and endure the torture of Rei shoving her filthy toes in your mouth in order to distract her from Mary taking a picture. (+15 Affinity w/ Rei – -5 w/ Mary (she doesn't want Rei to have that pleasure.)
2). Refuse and risk Rei catching on to your plan. (-10 w/ Rei – +5 w/ Mary)
3). (And I will have to add a 'Choice Chapter' after this to add in a third option. Forgive my transgression.) Rei forces her toes into your mouth. (+3 w/ Rei)
