You nervously paced around the lobby as Mary and Jack got ready for their wedding. Some of your family had even flown in from out of town to see your son wed, and Tina and Mary had family here, too. So many things could go wrong. Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted a familiar girl walking around. You recognized her as Isabella, a girl that your son knew from school years ago. From what you heard, she had a deep crush on Mary and occasionally competed with Jack for her attention. You don't remember her being invited, so it would stand to reason that she didn't have good intentions for being here. Perhaps you should go talk to her?
But now that you thought about it... maybe they weren't ready to get married. They were still so young, barely in their twenties. So much could still happen to change their relationship. You thought long ago that Jack's father was the one for you, and he still broke your heart. You didn't want either of them to go through the same thing because they weren't ready.
Your thoughts went back to your son. He was probably even more nervous than you were. He still had trouble speaking in public, and here he was about to pronounce his love to Mary in a room full of people. He was probably petrified. Maybe he could use some encouragement from his mother to help give him confidence.
