With newfound determination Jamie decided to chase after Summer. She had to tell her about her feelings, if the amateur sleuth wasn't into girls or rejected her then so be it, but she had to at least try!
She ran after Summer, hoping to catch up to her before she meets with Chris. The thoughts in her head still going crazy from the whole situation she personally got herself into. If she didn't tell Summer to go meet Chris right now, then she wouldn't have to be so desperate now!
To her surprise however when she finally caught up so that she could see her, Summer was already talking to someone. Someone that looked like Chris... it made no sense though! Earlier that day she overheard Chris planning to surprise Summer in front of the school before the dance and invite her afterwards. It was possible they met on the way to school... but Chris' house was still much farther from there. Which meant that "Chris" standing here would have to be going the opposite direction than school.
Just to make sure however, Jamie took out her phone and sent a text message to Chris "Where are you?". Soon after she got a reply "In front of the school, waiting for Summer. Gonna invite her to dance with me! Why do you ask?", "Just wanted to check something." Jamie replied quickly, not having time to tell Chris about whole situation.
The "Chris" Summer was talking to now however, didn't even touch his phone during all of that. There was no doubt, whoever was talking to Summer there, wasn't real Chris. What should Jamie do about it though?
