As Paige and Hannah walked into the gymnasium clad in their gym uniform of a Brookside T-shirt and athletic shorts, they spotted Mrs. Hill, the phys ed teacher who was formerly in the top shape of her life, but put on quite a few pounds after getting married. She was now around 180 pounds, and the new weight drastically affected her will to workout. Instead of running along side the students on the track, she opted for the easier option to either bring out a lawn chair and snack through the period, or follow her students on a golf cart as they ran.
"Cohen, Daniels! You two are next to each other over here." Mrs. Hill, yelled, with her voice sounding like she was snacking on something, Hannah and Paige walked over to their seats. Close to them was Paige's friend Leigh Baron and her other friend Kasey Evans. While Paige knew Leigh for a long time since they've played lacrosse together since fourth grade, Paige met Kasey in math last year and they've talked since. Kasey was thin, but Leigh was a little chubby, weighing 145.
"Hey Paige who's the new girl?" Leigh asked.
"Oh, this is Hannah. She's really nice and she plays on the volleyball team." Paige answered.
"Volleyball? We should introduce her to Tara and Jaime."
"Oh yea, they're on the volleyball team and really nice." Paige replied.
"I'll be sure to look out for them in practice today!" Hannah replied, as Mrs. Hill ordered the kids to start running while eating a snack cake.
After school and an easy practice where she befriended Tara and Jaime, Hannah returned home to see her mother,
