Dakota sighed mournfully as her and her two friends made their way back towards the pier entrance, the sound of Top-40 hits and overly excited radio announcers slowly fading as the Texan transplant clutched at her newfound prize.
"Seriously, though, a shirt? And I got the last one!" She exclaimed, holding up her treasure and stretching out it's rather ridiculous width, looking like it would better serve her as a tarp than a top, "And who the heck wears a 3X?"
Sighing heavily, the brown-haired girl felt a hand clap down on her shoulder, making her yelp.
"Ahhh, c'mon girl," Piper said, tugging her close and shaking her gently, "At least you got something." She grinned and turned to look at her recently acquired acquaintance.
"Yeah," Zack piped up in agreement as they turned and began to make their way down the sidewalk, heading towards downtown, "All I got was... This, I guess." He held up in one hand a 'KISS102.5' bumper sticker and sighed.
"None of us have cars, do we?"
Dakota and Piper shook their heads in unison, Dakota groaning. "This day seriously sucks."
Piper sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, you... Grump," She said, doing her best not to use the word 'Bitch' this early into her new friendship, "I tell you what, we'll make it up to you."
Zack stopped and raised an eyebrow as the trio stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, much to the annoyance of a couple walking behind them. "Me? What'd I do?"
"Nothing," Piper said, "Not yet, anyways, but you're paying for lunch. Dee's never been to any of the good places around here."
Zack huffed and rolled his eyes, grunting, "Fine, but you'll be getting the next one."
"So, wait," Dakota finally piped up, still clutching at the oversized t-shirt in her right hand and picking up her pace to keep up with her friends. "Where are we going for lunch, exactly?"
