This choice: Scott is wrong. So very wrong (slow) • Go Back... Tom had decided that Jessica wasn’t likely to grow much more, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to enjoy the show while it lasted. He began to pay more attention to her as well as her relationship with her older sister. After a week he started to notice two things: Jessica was still growing and Katie was hiding something.
The first one was obvious. The small bumps he had noticed were only becoming more noticeable, as was the fact that Jessica didn’t own any bras. She was still small enough that it didn’t really matter, but at the rate she was going it probably would soon. He remembered from high school that some girls grew more than one cup size over the course of a summer but that wasn’t going to happen here, the formula would run its course before then. On top of her expanding bustline though, Jessica was actually becoming quite cute. She wasn’t at Katie’s level yet, her face didn’t resemble any international pop stars but she was a better looking geek girl than before. Her waist and hips were still skinny, but there was a faint rounding of her backside going on and her legs might have been a bit longer. Tom also noticed that Katie had stopped mocking Jessica about her height. He didn’t think she’d actually noticed that her younger sister was taller, it just didn’t seem to occur to Katie to tease Jessica about it anymore, possibly because to Tom’s eyes, they were now the same height.
Alternatively it could be that she just wasn’t around Tom and Jessica that much anymore. Where before the three of them used to hang out in front of the TV in the evenings, watching a movie or binging an entire series with a bowl of popcorn between them, more recently it had just been Tom and Jessica doing these things together. Katie had a variety of reasons why she didn’t join them. She was often tired and went to bed early, or she needed to be up early the next day or she wasn’t feeling well but all of them resulted in her closing the bedroom door and leaving Tom alone with her sister. He didn’t mind at first, he was an understanding boyfriend and movie nights were not important when she was sick.
He actually found he enjoyed hanging out with Jessica as well. They were only a few years apart and unlike Katie who was more of a party girl, Jessica actually liked most of the geeky things Tom was into. In the past, Katie had been dutiful enough to watch shows like Dr Who with Tom, but she’d never suggested them the way Jessica did. For her part, Jessica told him no one in her family was into her geeky pastimes either and she liked being able to share that with him. She smiled shyly at him as she said it and Tom was struck by how white and perfect her teeth had become. Initially the two of them sat awkwardly apart, bolt upright at either end of the sofa without Katie between to connect them, but as they grew more comfortable the pair ended up laughing together in the middle, Tom’s arm around Jessica’s slender shoulders and her head resting comfortably against his chest. From this position he could also see that her hair seemed to be shinier and a little longer and could definitely feel the press of her new breasts lower down.
While Tom was becoming closer to Jessica it felt like he was drifting apart from Katie. He was still the same loving, attentive boyfriend he had always been, but more and more she was brushing him off or pushing him away. They hadn’t had sex in a while, although Katie never was an enthusiastic lover. It was more like she knew it was expected in a relationship and if she wanted to stay with Tom and live in the apartment his salary as a researcher paid for, then that was part of the deal. More recently though, she was always asleep when he came to bed. It was understandable since it meshed with her evening excuses, but what was less understandable was the way the low battery light on her phone was often blinking when he came in, as if it was getting some pretty heavy use.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
