It's a day like any other, in a time just like yours or mine. A little bit into the future, a few years perhaps, and maybe some details are different than what we consider reality, but by and large the same. On this day, one unlucky man or woman is going to have a run in with something ahead of their time. Did they create it? Did they find it? Did it find them? Regardless, the end is the same- an embarrassing and bewildering experience as they find themselves sharing the spotlight with this strange phenomenon.
Science Fair Gone Wrong- A gifted senior in high school, one unlucky intellectual young man or woman builds something amazing. However, be is sabotage or malfunction, something goes wrong when they try to give their demonstration at a Science Expo. No matter what their specialty- robotics, chemistry, biology, what have you- they'll end up showing off a lot more than they planned to.
Close Encounter- Driving down a quiet country road, taking a solitary hike through the forest, or simply minding their own business as they sleep in their bed, someone comes into contact with an extraterrestrial. Whatever purpose this creature has either involves a poor, naked human- and one hell of a night.
Robotics Display- An android- a humanoid robot who is almost indistinguishable aside from a few subtle differences. The robot, disguised as an ordinary man or a woman, is sent into the world by their creators. The robot has mostly configured a human personality, with human responses to most situations- except the creators want to make sure it has the correct response to certain public situations...
Spreading Epidemic- A strange illness begins to spread, for whatever reason causing people to go around naked. Patient Zero, an unassuming man or woman just minding their own business, finds themselves falling victim to an illness without a name and with no known cure. What's worse, it seems to be contagious...
