"Maya, could you...channel Mia for me?" Phoenix asked his assistant, Maya Fey, who, oddly enough, was not in her usual spiritualist's attire.
"Sure thing, Nick!" the plucky teenager nodded, presently donning a bright orange waitress's costume, similarly-colored leggings, and brown high heels as part of her shanghaied experience at the Trés Bien restaurant.
At the present moment, Phoenix was investigating the death of Glen Elg, a local computer programmer who had recently died at the restaurant, with his client, Maggie Byrde, as the prime suspect in his murder. A witness to the crime and restaurant regular, Victor Kudo, was being uncooperative to all of the defense attorney's questionings, but Phoenix had eventually deduced that Kudo only visited the restaurant to look at the waitresses therein. After grabbing Maya to see if she could woo the old man, Kudo remarked that she was too young to be attractive to him, causing the lawyer to devise a new plan of attack. If Maya would not fit the bill, then his former mentor's curves on her petite form would certainly do the trick.
"Um, Nick," Maya called out to her boss, "something...doesn't feel right..."
The channeler's entire body began to quiver uncontrollably, until suddenly, a flash of light erupted from her body, blinding the attorney. "MAYA!" Phoenix yelled.
When the light eventually faded, Phoenix looked about for his assistant, finding nothing but a large wall of brown in front of him. "Maya?! Maya, where are you?!"
"Hmmm? Phoenix, is that you?" a sultry, powerful womanly voice called out to him.
As Phoenix looked upwards, the young lawyer realized that the brown wall in front of him was not a wall at all: it was Maya's - or rather now Mia's - foot. The defense attorney knew from previous experiences that when a Fey performs the Kurain Channeling Technique, her body transforms into a likeness of the person she channels. This change extends to her voice and physical appearance, although her hair and clothes remain the same. From this point, the channeled spirit takes control of the body, and the medium loses complete consciousness and is unaware of anything the spirit does during the channeling. However, it has always been unknown to what extent the physical changes can occur, as although height, figure, and voice change, it is unknown as to what degree. It was now that Phoenix was now presented with an extreme of that unknown, as his former mentor now towered above him immensely.
"I...don't know how to tell you this, Phoenix, but...I don't think I can get out of Maya's body this time like this," Mia explained. "I think...I'm stuck like this..."
[Note to the reader: Please pick Mia's size in your continuation of this arc; I've purposely left her height vague so she can be anywhere from 50 ft to several dozen miles tall.]
