Jade couldn't help but be drawn in by shiny objects; it was one of many reasons she liked getting piercings.
"I'll take the coin," She said.
As the old woman carefully handed it over, Jade asked how it worked.
The woman gave a bit of devilish smile as she explained that you just hold it up to the light between two people. As she was saying it, Jade thought that sounded a little silly, but once the woman lowered her arm, she suddenly felt like it was a lot less silly.
"Thank you, my dear," Jade said to the old woman, "I will treasure this coin."
"Totes not a problem," The old woman replied, "Come back, like, anytime, and don't forget to tell a friend."
Jade slowly shuffled out of the store and made her way to Wilkos. She didn't realize that she had swapped personalities with the old woman. She was still herself; still had all her piercings; still had her job at Wilkos, but she was now acting like a mysterious old woman. Meanwhile, the old woman in the store was filled with the pep of a 20-year-old; she thought about closing up the shop for a few hours and getting a piercing. They were so shiny and cool, after all.
