Chapter #4

Something else

    by: NVR Author IconMail Icon
You shake your head at how much more.. vain your little sister's room looks compared to yours, with things like a full wall mirror and this vanity table thing despite being still just a kid. At least it was just for show, her behavior was not of a bratty princess or even like a girl super focused on those beauty pageant things, just a girly girl that maybe lucked out with her room setup.

Looking around you see a couple of other things you recognize, like the toys she uses to make tea parties with that you get invited to all the time but of course you politely reject because you're already too old for this and because you can't humor Jane for enough time without feeling like getting up and leave, last time you just tried to coax her into starting a playfight with her dolls before just getting bored with it. You rolled your eyes again watching the seemingly high quality tea set too, thinking about the perks of being the youngest sibling.. the amount of cool things you could have gotten if you were the youngest now! Oh well, it's not like you had a terrible childhood or anything.

Deciding to play a harmless prank and take something from her room for a while, you keep watching at what other things were there. You definitely weren't going to touch any of the dresses or wigs, that would give Jane the wrong idea, so you just continue looking and find a couple of other interesting things. First one is a little notebook that you assume is her diary, with a little lock that you could break easily but that right now stopped you from checking it out, although it would be a bit mean to take such a personal thing. The second is one of the dolls, maybe if they went missing she would feel like playing a more interesting rescue mission instead of another of those boring parties. Going back to the vanity table you see a couple of other things, something that looked like makeup but most likely wasn't (you couldn't tell, but you guessed kids shouldn't be using real makeup so it was a more kid friendly thing) and some markers that she probably used for drawings and that kind of stuff. You wonder which one would be funniest to take, before Jane appears and might get the wrong idea that you want to play with her.

What happens next?
