Most people don't believe in fairies, nor do they want to. Children believe for the most part, (though the tooth fairy is made up. Who would want to collect children's teeth, let alone from under their pillows?) but as they grow older... their belief fades. The few who continue to believe remain silent about it, since they don't want to be a social outcast. Granted, this willingness to not believe suits fairies just fine. Makes erasing memories much easier when people don't want memories challenging that disbelief, when they want to forget.
How do I know so much about fairies? Well... I know this fairy named Juniper. How do I know her? Well...
