Shrunken society

Okay, here is a kinda cool idea that might have been used before, but might as well be utilized here. What if there was a society like ours? With their own towns, cities, vehicles, etc, but in a much smaller scale, and they have to interact with the humans usually who can have various views. Some may help them, some may destroy them, but one thing is certain, it is a small story.
