Chapter #5

Enoa's Job

“What’s your job on the cruiser, Enoa?” you wonder, trying to lighten up the conversation.

“I am the foreign species doctor,” Enoa responds. “This means that I take care of any foreign species that are injured on the ship. In addition, I am typically the officer who interacts with any aliens who come on the ship, such as you.”

“So, how often do you get to see other species?” you inquire.

“Quite often, actually,” Enoa notifies you. “Representatives from our allies are allowed on board often, and I show them around with assistance from military Erimosi. As I hinted at before, I also treat them if they get injured, and if any tests are needed, I administer them. In addition, in the evenings, when they are not on official business, I entertain them and make sure they are comfortable during their stay.”

“How do you entertain them?” you question, curious.

“I could explain it, but it would be easier to just show you,” Enoa answers. “Would you like to be entertained?”

“That would be fine with me,” you declare, and the Erimosi guides you to an empty room in the medical bay.

“I would take you to another room, but there would be too many other Erimosi,” she proclaims. “This space will actually do well for the entertainment. I am sure that you will enjoy this; the foreign species doctors on other ships have informed me that this method works well on humans. Please remove your spacesuit and shoes and then lie down on the examination table.” You look at Enoa questioningly, but she gives you an insistent gaze, so you remove your shoes and the spacesuit, leaving you in just your underwear. Feeling a little exposed, you lie down on the examination table and look up at the doctor. “You look a little uncomfortable. Why?”

“Well, I am just in my underwear,” you reply. “That isn’t normal for humans.”

“Like I said earlier, most humanoids don’t like covering themselves up,” Enoa announces. “The entertainment is more effective if I can see your skin. Is it alright if I begin?”

“I guess so,” you affirm, and the doctor’s hands come down and start tickling your bare belly. “AHAHAHA! THAHAT TIHIHICKLEHES!”

“Why, of course it does,” Enoa states as you squirm around. “Tickling is a wonderful way to entertain someone, and it looks like you’re very ticklish.” Her fingers spider all over your stomach, exploiting your sensitivity.

Hysterically laughing, you manage to gain your bearings enough to wriggle onto your back, and you cover your sides with your arms. The doctor ceases her tickling attempts when you turn over, and then you turn your head to her. “You entertain people by tickling them?”

“Yes, believe it or not, tickling is a very common form of entertainment,” the Erimosi informs you. “Nearly all species are ticklish, and the vast majority of them like being tickled. In fact, after a long day of work, most foreign representatives don’t mind letting me tie them up and tickle them. They get a safe word, and when they need me to stop, they say it. It’s a way to make sure they don’t hurt me and also ensure that I don’t tickle them past their limits, and both sides have lots of fun. You look like someone who could use a little tickle therapy. Would you mind being tied up and tickled? I’ll give you a safe word so it doesn’t turn into tickle torture.”

“I guess I could do it,” you respond. “I did come here to learn about how aliens interact so I can have productive contacts, and this is somewhere to start.”

“Alright, I’ll tie you to this examination table,” Enoa broadcasts. “Turn over and put your arms up. I want to have full access to that ticklish tummy of yours.” Reluctantly, you roll over so that you are on your back again, and you raise your arms in the air, exposing most of your tickle spots. The doctor pulls out a strap from under the table and uses it to secure your arms, and then she restrains your ankles with a strap at the bottom of the table. “Your safe word is going to be ‘Red’. Is that alright?” You nod to confirm this. “Good. Well, I think we should start the tickle therapy on your…”
