Chapter #4

The man's friend approaches

    by: DrZaaijer Author IconMail Icon
You enjoyed watching the three pass out their pamphlets. The white man fitting right in with the two black ladies. The three got curious looks from passersby, but no one said anything. Not until a few minutes later when another white man walked up to the group and address the newest member of the team. "Hank," he said. "what are you doing?" Scott was Hank's best friend. They were at the mall together, but Scott had to drain the lizard and so Hank was waiting around. That is why he approached the woman in the first place, he had little to do. Scott was taller and stronger than Hank.

Hank answered with a religious spirit he never had before, "I'm doing God's work. Praise Jesus."

The other two ladies chorused in with a "Halleluja!!!"

"OK, Jokes over. You got me," Scott said. "Let's go."

"I'm going to be busy here for another three hours. The Lords work takes time."

Scott could see that Hank was serious. He could tell it was no joke. "Hank what did they do to you?"

"Nothing, I am infused with the Holy Spirit."

Before Scott could reply and things get out of hand, you reached into Scott and Hank's mind and change their relationship. Scott now looked up to Hank. They were going to get married. Scott thought that Hank was the best person for him. Hank was going to take control over Scott's life and give his life purpose. No more fooling around and getting into trouble for Scott. No more drinking and carrying on. He would turn his life over to Hank and Hank would lead him into the straight an narrow.

Hank picked up his purse (which had been left by the former church lady.) and took Scott over to the side.

"Listen Scott," Hank said. "I am going to be here for another three and a half hours. I want you to pick me up then."

"Yes, Dear."

He then reached into his purse and gave Scott a list. "Go to the grocery store and pick up what's on the list."

"Yes, Dear."

Then go to the laundry mat and get the dry cleaning."

"Yes, Dear."

"And don't stop to talk to that cute cashier at the laundry."

"Yes, Dear."

"The price at the laundry is $14.76. Don't let them say the shirt costs more because they are women's shirts. Don't pay a penny more."

"Yes, Dear."

"Now, remember. three and a half hours be back here. Don't be late."

"Yes, Dear."

"Now give me a kiss." Scott did as requested. A quick smooch on the lips and then he was gone to do his errands.

Hank reached into his purse to fix get a compact and see if there was any damage to his lipstick from the kiss. To his surprise he saw he wasn't wearing any makeup at all. So he took the makeup he needed one by one out of his purse and applied it. The hues of the makeup were totally wrong for his pale face. They were designed for a woman of whose skin color reflected her rich African heritage. The foundation was for a woman who had a dark complexion. The lipstick and blush had a more purplish hue instead of a red or peach hue that would have been appropriate with Hank's skin tone. Similar could be said about the eyeshadow and eyeliner. When Hank was done, he rejoined his friends handing out pamphlets and doing 'God's Work.'
