Chapter #7

The Ever Curious Erin

    by: Jeary Author IconMail Icon
You spot Erin curiously observing you and the warriors. You decide to stop your work for a moment and answer a question she is obviously having by the way she was looking at you and the warriors. " Is there something you want to ask Erin?" You ask Erin who eagerly nods and then proceeds to ask.

" Why are you hurting the rock? What did it do to you?" She asked. The Two warriors couldn't help but laugh at over hearing the question. Erin was confused at the laughter and somewhat insulted but she kept her manners and didn't outright say anything awaiting for your answer.

"It's called mining, It is what we do to find metals to build our swords, axes and other metal stuff. Don't worry see those wooden beams around the cave. They support the mine and help prevent it from collapsing." You explained to Erin.

" Who's your friend there?" Reymond asked you.

"She's Erin, I just met her, So I don't know much about her." You replied.

" She's quite curious. Do you know where she lived before?" Bartus asked.

"No, not exactly, Over seas I think." You said.

" Erin would you like to give mining a try?" You asked Erin.

" I'll try." Erin said. She attempted to pick up a pick-ax but could barely even hold it. It was like it was taking almost all of her strength just to lift it. Erin only managed to hit the rock about three more times before she was completely exhausted.

"There she is boss!" One of the thug says.

" You tellin' me that you two are losers that lost to a woman! Imbeciles! I ought slice your neck right here and now!" The other thug said. He apparently wasn't with the previous thugs, but just by his stance you could tell this man knew how to wield a sword. At least when compared to the other two. Tired and exhausted from all the mining did you didn't have the energy to fight them off again.

" You girls wont be getting away this time! My swordsmanship is better than Reymond Lionshield" The Head thug boasts. Seeing that you and Erin are tired and exhausted the thug wasn't even given a thought to the other two men walking with you.

"Coward! You are attacking us right after we mined! What kind of thug are you?" You asked him.

" A Smart one." He quickly replies. It was then that...
