Jame figured he'd stick with something simple. He already switched preferences with her, and really there wasn't anything too wrong with him. Yes, he still was intrigued by iCarly, and maybe wanted to watch it with his little sister later. Right now, he wanted to try something else from her.
Her hair was braided in an odd style, like something that Daenerys wore. She made it look so simple and with her auburn hair. The braids wrapped over one another, and still left a large fall of hair on her back. She had been so proud when she finally got managed to complete the braid - much to her friends envy. They all tried, and some succeeded, but that only sparked Audrey to try newer things. Today was one of her simpler braids, and it still looked great. Why not try it?
The thought was enough to make the switch with a blink of an eye. One second his sister was tossing her braid over her shoulder, and the next, he felt the weight pulling on his skull. He never had long hair before, and he wanted to take a look in the mirror. Right now, his sister wore his messy short hair cut, and still looked like a cute girl.
"We need to get you to the salon," his mom said to Audrey.
"No, I don't," Audrey said, rolling her eyes. "Its fine."
"Just a little work and you'd be great. You're brother takes great care of his hair, why can't you?"
James paused as he was bringing a broccoli stalk to his mouth. He hadn't expected to get her grooming habits, but he had memories of braiding his hair, taking care of her - his hair and spending the time growing it out. "Mom, leave her alone. If she wants to, she'll go with us."
"Its just something that all of us could do." His mom turned back to Audrey. "Just think about it, okay? I think it would be fun."
Audrey shrugged her shoulders and made eye contact with him. He gave her a smile, not really knowing what to say right now. "Maybe. Let me think about it."
Definitely the weirdest conversation he ever had. But fun. Maybe this change wouldn't be so bad. He wanted to keep it a little longer and see what other things changed. The rest of dinner was uneventful, and even his father showing up as they were clearing the dishes brought no surprises.
