“I say that we wait for a bit and surprise Brad on his return. Besides, I can wizard up a bunch of stuff for the party.” Joe said as he worked up a bit of magic. With a few esoteric words and the wave of his hands he created a keg to the delighted applause of the gathered friends. Joe considered his creation as he considered his next spell.
“We belong clean.” Said Tommy returning to cleaning smiling at his joke. Not often you get to make a bride of Frankenstein reference.
“Nice one Frankenmaid. I will help you for a deal.“ Mark produced another contract from flame with detailed calligraphy. “I am sure it will be a most pleasurable deal.”
Tommy flipped the finger to Mark as he pulled out the vacuum to give the carpet a once over. Larry pressed Mark, “Pitch in man. A lot of the socks are yours. Do you have to toss them about as stench ridden traps?”
“I hate wearing socks and the point of living with dudes is that you can chill out. Besides that’s why we have maids to take care of the place. Hate for you ladies to have nothing to do.” Mark answered hearing the door open as in walked Brad with Cindy his latest bit of fun.
Cindy started briefly looking about the room finding a demon, small child, a guy mumbling to himself and a franken creation. “Woah, you all start the party early? Who is this little darling? Don’t you look adorable in your little dress.” She knelt down to Larry who looked a bit chagrined.
“Yes, who is this? You guys didn’t abduct her did you?” Brad asked laughing recognizing Larry’s girl form.
Tommy walked over, “This is my little sister Ruby. She popped over for a visit.” With his feminine hand he gave a slight squeeze to Larry’s shoulder.
“Which part of you is her sister?” queried a bemused Brad. His only disappointment that he didn’t get to play with the medallion. He stopped by the house to pick up a change of clothes for his date. He left Cindy to get acquainted with his roomies while he changed clothes. Cindy would happily chat with anyone.
Shyness not one her qualities Cindy eagerly chatted with those gathered in the front room. Joe snuck off to practice his magic in privacy. Mark smugly discussed his nature as a sex demon. Cindy scolded him, “There is a child present. Think before you speak. Apologize to Ruby.” She waited briefly before commanding, “Now!”
Tommy bit his lip to keep from laughing seeing Mark disingenuously apologize to Larry. “I am sooo sorry Ruby. I shouldn’t speak like that in front of you.”
Larry played along with the farce, “It’s okay. I didn’t understand what you were talking about though. Could you explain what you mean by sex demon?” His doe eyes wide as he looked up at Mark.
Mark maintained his composure, “I think that is something your sister should explain to you when you get older.”
“That’s what you adults always say. It sucks being little.” Larry kicked at the ground in a feigned pout.
“It’s okay sweetheart. Being little is a lot of fun and you will miss it when you are older. Now how about a hug? They always make me feel better.” Cindy opened her arms to the little Larry. He accepted the warm embrace. A beautiful woman offers a hug don’t refuse, that is Larry’s motto. Cindy’s fragrant perfume tickled Larry’s nostrils with its pleasant aroma.
After departing the embrace Larry said, “Thank you. You sure are pretty.” Larry felt a twinge of jealousy over Brad’s luck. He knew Brad saw her as a passing bit of fluff. But she struck him as a woman worth time and effort. Deserving of it. Lamenting wouldn’t change anything. After they broke up and she had some time he could pursue a relationship with her. He just needed to work up the nerve. Brad wouldn’t care. He rarely invested any emotion in them.
“Aren’t you the sweetest little girl. You are beautiful too. One day you’ll be even prettier than me.” Cindy complimented the young girl. She turned to Tommy saying, “I am sorry we haven’t been introduced my name is Cindy.” Offering her hand to Tommy.
Tommy took a minute to come up with a name before shaking the hand. “My name is Jewel. It is nice to meet you.”
“So whose girlfriend are you?” Cindy asked.
“Just a friend stopping in for a visit.” Tommy answered quickly. The interruption of Brad’s return caused a general relief in the room. Cindy bid the room goodbye. An especially effusive hug reserved for Larry before they left.
Brad stepped in for a minute after they departed the house. He smiled giving a thumbs up saying, “Love the costumes. I will have to come up with something good for the party.”
Mark stood admiring his demon form with the bulky muscles. He felt tempted to ply his powers but felt he would stick out as he was. He grabbed the medallion using it to restore the appearance of his humanity. Leaving himself with the ability to resume his demon form.
“Sis could you take me over to Emily’s?” Larry looked up Tommy.
“Absolutely let me shift into something a bit more appropriate.” Tommy said figuring he could finish cleaning up later. He took the medallion from Mark to head off for some privacy for his own change. His skin smoothed out as the stitching faded away. His mismatched parts homogenized while gaining masculine traits. The wisps of facial hair along with broad shoulders. Tommy enjoyed losing the pendulous weights from his chest. Putting on his own clothes he left his room to find Larry in a new outfit. “I see you are ready. Let’s get going.”
“I thought that you would go as my mom. My former step dad doesn’t know you as Tommy.” Larry’s concern evident on his face.
“That is a step to far. He is a creepy man. I don’t want to deal with his leering stares.” Tommy headed to the car with Larry relenting and joining him.
Arriving after a short drive at Emily’s house. They found Mr Foster waiting for their arrival. Coming over to the car, “Are you Ruby’s brother?”
“Yes.” Tommy simply answered.
“I have had a work emergency come up. I need you to watch Emily if possible.” Mr Foster awaited an answer.
“I can if it is an emergency. You can contact me with Ruby’s number.” Tommy tried to help others when he could.
A brief thanks followed with Foster rushing off. Emily came out of the house locking it behind her as she ran to the car to join Larry in the back seat.
