The toxin increases the appetite of those affected, with the added benefit of making them crave sugary foods. Somehow, Harley is exposed to this toxin and finds herself swelling under the effects of her very creation!
How is she going to fight Batman when she can’t stop eating pies?!
—in A Sound Mind, Harley is captured and placed back in Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
However there’s a new doctor in charge of the rehabilitative services, and he has a peculiar method for keeping the inmates under control. Harley is placed in an experimental treatment group directly under his watch, and he has an interesting theory about patient pacification. Somehow, the good Doctor's methods are causing everyone who he's "treating" to gain a lot of weight, making them too sluggish and bloated to escape.
Will Harley escape in time? Surely Batman won't allow this kind of treatment for long... right?
