Acceptance

Jasmina shrugged and conceded to Jason's point. "Yeah Elen's kinda violent. Why are you that violent anyway?" She gave Elen a questioning look.

"One ought to know better than to mess with a fairy." Elen said sinisterly.

"You sure have a penchant for fear-mongering..." Jasmina deadpanned dismissively. "It also doesn't answer my question." Jasmina was now regarding the happiness pokemon with a perplexed expression. "Why not answer the question outright? I've met Togekiss and you sure don't act like any I've seen. What's your deal then?" Jasmina proposed the same question she asked to Jason to Elen.

"It's a uhh a bit of a long story." Elen mumbled.

"You're stuck to a tree, hun." Jasmina leaned on the tree Jason was on. "We've got time."

Jason was also stuck to a tree, so he wasn't going anywhere either.

"Fair point." Elen admitted reluctantly. "I was actually brought up by a group of wild Aromatisse and let me tell you, absolutely no one messed with them. They were always doing really spooky things and I just wanted to fit in. It didn't quite work out. I just didn't have it in me at first but when I finally went out on my own it made a little more sense to me."

Jasmina chuckled. "Well, you still don't have it in ya. Seems a little forced." Elen glared at the dragon.

"What? Are you calling me dis in-genuine?" Elen cried indignantly. Jasmina shook her head.

"Naw, it's just you're a little hard to take seriously when you're just so serious all the time. It's just super plainly obvious that whatever you are right now just isn't you. Ya know? Let me tell you a little secret." Jasmina said and then stepped forward a bit and put her hands on her hips. "What do you guys see in me?"

"An oversized slug." Elen said as if it were fact.

"A fat slimy dragon?" Jason suggested innocently.

"You guys are the worst." Jasmina moaned, but then she said, "No! I'm myself. That's all I really stand for. I say it like it is and how I see it: no one's gonna doubt that about me. Anyone can talk shit about it but it's clear as day what I am."

"And I'm a true fairy." Elen said, missing the point. Jasmina facepalmed with a resounding schlap sound due to the goo on her hands.

"No! That's what you're trying to be! But it's not what you are. You're standing up for something else other than you." Jasmina's tone was that of an older sister regarding a younger sibling or even a mentor to a student. "I'll let you chew on that for while cuz I don't think I have much else to say on this. Just don't fight in my orchard ok? As long as you do that you're allowed to hang out here and if you want fruit, ask me, and if you can't find me be sensible with what and how much you take. Am I clear with the two of ya?" Jasmina looked both Jason and Elen in the eye. Both of them nodded and with a satisfied smile Jasmina peeled them off the trees they were stuck to.

"Hmmm..." Elen mulled over what Jasmina said. Her focus shifted to the perfect plum she dropped. That's what she needed. She regarded both Jason and Jasmina with a respectful bow and bit on the stem of the plum to pick it up. She appeared to be ready to leave when...
