Epilogue

Kyle was never seen or heard from again and the only person who ever knew about what happened to him was a young British girl who travelled back to London the following week. Over the next month Hermione forgot about the little guy due to going to Diagonal Alley and finally starting school. As Hermione said goodbye to her parents she boarded the Hogwarts Express and sat in a compartment with a disheveled boy. The boy looked over at Hermione and said, " Hi, I'm Neville, Neville Longbottom." Hermione replied, "Hermione Granger." "Is this your first year too" the boy inquired. "Yes" she said. Neville asked, " do you think we'll be learning all kinds of magic at Hogwarts, I've always wanted to know how to shrink something." A small grin appeared on Hermione's face as she began to rub her belly, " Oh I've already had some practice with shrinking stuff." Neville looked at her with a dumbfounded expression, " really wow, I haven't been able to accomplish any magic intentionally yet. I can't even hang on to Trevor over h... Wait, where's Trevor! Hermione asked, " Who's Trevor?" Neville, worry sewn on his face, said, "My Toad, I promised my grandma I wouldn't lose him." Hermione eager to assist in any way she could said, "Oh, I'll help you look, he may have escaped the compartment and hopped down the hall." Hermione quickly got up, put on her robes, and left the compartment looking for the toad. While searching the halls she happened across a compartment occupied by two first years. One of them had glasses and untidy black hair. The other had red hair, dirt on his nose, and was brandishing a wand. Hermione walked to the door and asked, " Has any of you seen a toad, a boy named Neville's lost one?" And the rest is history.
