"I doubt it. Somehow." Rebekah said with a heavy sigh. "Elizabeth looked pretty serious. And Andrea said something about him too, right?"
"But, it's impossible! Right? Like, that sounded insane!" Mona shouted, almost dropping the box she was carrying. "Thanks, Char."
"Just be more careful." Charlotte grunted as she helped Mona set the box down. "That guy made my skin crawl." Charlotte shuddered as a set of footsteps got closer.
Smirking, Liam walked over and flexed his muscles. "You heard about the new rule Jeremiah put in place?" He asked with a few eyebrow twitches.
"What's that?" Charlotte grunted as she felt like slapping her coworker.
"Well, employees can have sex at work now. Pretty nice right?" Liam said as his smirk grew larger. "Any of you inter-" Liam began before his face felt suddenly sore.
"Want a kick as well?" Charlotte hissed as she pulled her leg back.
"Go ahead. I'll just hop out." Liam said before his eyes went wide. "Shit."
"Good acting to be honest." Charlotte said before launching her foot square into Liam's groin. Watching Liam fall to the hard floor, Charlotte chuckled to herself. "I didn't even think you weren't Liam until you slipped up there."
Grunting, Liam's body twitched for a second before groaning, with Jeremiah hopping out of Liam's chest and frowning soon after. "I thought I was being charming..." Jeremiah said with a heavy sigh. "I'll make sure to give you a bonus Liam."
"He's out." Mona said as she pointed at Liam's twitching body. "Did you have to kick him so hard, Char?"
"He probably deserved it for something." Rebekah muttered. "Why'd you even buy Wilko and do all this? Surely with your money and connections, you could... I dunno." Rebekah asked with a shrug.
"Purely for my entertainment." Jeremiah declared with a smug grin. "Now, I will need a new body to hop..."
"NO!" Laura shrieked. "N-Not me!"
"Ah, but you signed the agreement, did you not?" Jeremiah asked as he stepped forward before stopping abruptly, feeling a hand on his shoulder.
"Hop me or whatever instead." Rebekah said with a determined look in her eye.
"Wait just a second." Charlotte said as she cleared her throat. "Try to hop me. You said if I beat you for my body, I get anything, right?"
"Um... Yes, but-"
"You get 'em Char!" Mona cheered.
"Hmph. I'll split the prize with you." Charlotte said as she puffed her chest out. "Hell, I'll even buy Liam there a takeaway."
"JEREMIAH?!" A voice shouted before a figure ran over. "WHAT IS THIS?!" Julie shouted as she ruffled a sheet of paper. "CO-MANAGER?!"
"Oh, you see-"
"ELIZABETH IS JUST YOUR GLORIFIED ASSISTANT!!" Julie bellowed as she put her foot down. "WHY DOES SHE-"
Gulping, Jeremiah looked around as he weighed his options...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
