Kiran and Jessica decided to leave their little chat until later, and they allowed Liz to finish the 'huddle' with the staff. The assignments were then handed out and the girls were chagrined not to be working together. Kiran was paired up with Natalie on the toiletries section and Jessica was paired up with Steven working on the cleaners aisle. Liz had kept them apart on purpose, simply because more chatting meant less work.
The third team member from Parkgate, Melissa, was put to work with Becca and Mark on Seasonal, and once everyone else had got their tasks for the shift, Liz dismissed everyone with a clap of her hands.
"We'll talk at break okay." Kiran whispered to Jessica before she left.
"Okay, I can't wait." Jessica smiled in excitement.
"Move along girls." Liz ushered them, and then she went to take care of a few things at the Customer Service Desk.
Kiran didn't like how strict Liz was, compared to their own supervisor at Parkgate, but... she also understood Liz was only doing her job, keeping everyone in line. She'd just have to be careful and not be seen whenever she wanted to talk to her friends. She smiled at Natalie as she approached. "Guess we'd better get started huh?" she said.
