Donna was not under Liz's orders, being a supervisor herself, and so she was free to walk around the store doing odd jobs that needed to be done. She decided against using the device too soon, and instead set about tidying the Goods In area. Then after that she grabbed an RF gun from upstairs in the Administration office and started walking around the store, scanning and ordering products that they were out of. Every time she saw Liz they shared an uncomfortable stare, but Donna didn't let it get to her.
And it was the same when some of the other employees gave Donna the cold shoulder too. She knew she wasn't popular among members of Liz's team, but she was fine with that. She was that kind of woman. Funnily enough the person most friendly to her on the evening team was Steven, who also happened to be the employee who liked Liz the most. "Hi Donna!" Steven greeted her with a smile.
"Hey! Nice to have someone to talk to." Donna replied, returning Steven's smile.
"Well, you know me, I try to get along with everybody." Steven chuckled.
Donna nodded. "That's a good attitude. Others could definitely from learn from you." She said as she continued scanning the out of stocks on the shelves. With each 'zap' of the RF gun, she was reminded of the other device she had in her possession. The one she hadn't yet used, but knew she would be using before too long.
"Well, if you need any help, just ask." Steven told Donna.
"Thanks!" Was the supervisor's reply.
Steven then walked a short distance but stopped he noticed a lop-sided shelf that needed fixing. Donna noticed him crouching down, and she also glanced around at the other members of the evening team as they went about their usual work routines. She was tempted to use Steven as her first Wilko 'experiment', despite the kindness he had shown to her. It wasn't as though he'd be aware of any changes, since Donna also knew from an earlier test with her husband at home, that reality altered for everyone but her whenever she used the device.
