You decide to shrink yourself super tiny and survive, nobody aware of your existence.

Chapter #3

Reading Rainbow

You would not believe how long it takes to fly a measly five miles to the nearest library when you're shorter than an inch. You've got time to take a nap, and despite your nerves, you do manage to catch some sleep. The beeping of the drone wakes you up, alerting you that you've arrived.

Floating near the ceiling of the place, you can't help but feel awed. Even from up here, the place looks massive. The ground looks so far away, and the people strolling along appear so tiny, even though the smallest of them could crush you without even knowing it.

You shake your head, clearing your mind of these thoughts. It was time to be serious. You've done some reconnaissance (read: you've been to the library before) and determined a few hiding spots that could work as a base camp.

First, there was a disused bookcase near the back corner. It contained some "Adult Romance Novels," and you had to assume not many people used the area. Camping out back there would keep you more than safe from the crowds roaming the place. Of course, it was far from anything, making scrounging for supplies much more difficult than it had to be.

Next was the employee break room. Technically, you hadn't seen it, since the back rooms are off limits to anyone but the librarians, but you assumed it was there. It'd be a great place to get supplies, since all break rooms are mandated by the state to carry snacks of all sorts (That is a law, right?) Admittedly, it did suffer from constant use, making getting trampled a bit hard to avoid. Plus, you'd need to spend time finding it before you could set up camp. That'd be a pain.

Finally, in the children's section, you could hide behind the picture books. You've stealthily been back there, and you knew dusting wasn't a thing that happened there very often. Having your base crushed under a feather duster would be quite the set back, you'd willingly admit, so it'd be nice to not have to worry about that. Unfortunately, it was near kids. Loud kids who'd keep you from sleeping and likely use you as a toy if you were found. Shudder.

Well, it's time to decide. The drone'll drop you off, but it can't fly for much longer without recharging. The sooner you pick, the better.

You have the following choices:

1. The porn... I mean erotica section.

2. The lounge/break room.

3. The children's section.

4. The toilets

5. The boring non-fiction section

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
