The woman retracted her hand to apologize, hopi...

Tara pulled her hand back from the grass, realizing rather suddenly that her actions were likely making things worse. The little critter was almost certainly hiding from her, terrified. She felt terrible that she had scared the creature, even more terrible than she felt from missing out on such a unique opportunity. She held her hands out like she was surrendering. She tried to communicate with the creature, hoping it understood.

---

Down in your grass forest you notice that everything has been still for several moments. The woman had clearly given up you reason, you are about to set off for the safety of your shelter when the echo starts again around you, reverberating off the grass stalks in an eerie, borderline haunting sound. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you little one." It was eerie, she was speaking TO you, yet over you, and around you. You couldn't interact with THAT, she was a force now, well beyond your capabilities to deal with. You had to get back, you had to abandon this foolish quest to interact with a normal person. Still..."I am sorry I scared you, please come back out." God, a part of you wanted to so bad, but your first interaction had been disastrous, what would she do if she had complete control of the situation, who knows, and that's what pushed you to your next act, you began walking along the stream, towards home. She may be genuine, hell, she may be a great person, but you can't hand your entire fate over to a feeling, you had an important role to play.

As you walk, you look up, her hand is suspended high above, like she wanted you to know she was no threat. You smirked, her casual acts impacted your world more than you did. You hear her plead a couple more times, before noticing the hand descend from the skies, towards where you had been when she first noticed you, you distinctly hear the sound of earth being ground, likely under her huge digit, another echo pervades through you, "I will check this spot every hour, I hope you trust me to come back. Sorry, again." With that the ground trembles somewhat as the woman rises back to her full height, she stares down on the grass forest you currently are walking through, you could almost swear she was looking right at you, but she takes no action, so she likely only saw the grass. She turns, and you tremble as the earth shudders under her immense walking weight. She had left you alone...she wasn't some crazy person desperate to get you, but seemed to be actually sorry for missing out on this unique encounter. Maybe you should reconsider, maybe you should approach her, or her tent and interact with such a considerate person. It could be valuable to your research you muse.

You have the following choices:

1. You return to your shelter.

*Noteb*
2. You enter her tent.

*Noteb*
3. You decide to leave the area altogether.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
