Abandoning your plan of ignoring Tora, you decide that would only irritate and antagonise her more. Plus, when you were in a relationship, you would always get back to her immediately, so it must look a bit strange to her!
Sorry Tora. Busy at the moment. Catch up another time.
You send the text, feeling fairly confident that this will put her off, for now at least. Looking at the time, you see that it's already nearly half past 9...
Your phone beeps at you. It's Tora again.
Busy? Really? I'll just come over to you. See you shortly.
Fuck! Clearly, your vague message did nothing to put her off; if anything it's made her more determined to see you now!
Automatically, you send her another message, hoping it will put her off completely.
Not in at the moment. Another night would be good though. When's good for you?
Lying about not being in seems like the best plan at the moment. You found in the past with girls that you had to tell a number of white lies, in order to hide certain truths. When you were in a relationship with Tora, you remember when she asked you if you liked feet, after you came across a little too keen to offer her foot massages. You denied this, and kept clear of her feet for a while after that, so as not to arouse any more suspicion. Even though you've had a foot fetish ever since you can remember, you've always been determined that no-one know. Mostly out of fear of how they would react, but with a girl like Tora, it was such a large chink of your already limited armour, you were not willing to expose it. Interrupting your thoughts, your phone beeps again...
I told you. Now. I'm on my way over anyway.
She's coming over, whether you want her to or not! She obviously does not buy your lie of being out. What about Lizzie? A horrible feeling hits you in the stomach and spreads throughout your entire body. She's supposed to be coming over soon...!
The doorbell rings mere minutes later. It's too early for Lizzie! Deciding that the best thing to do is pretend you're not there, you turn off the lights and sit silently on your couch.
"Ross? I know you're there. I saw your car parked downstairs," Tora's familiar voice rings out through the keyhole.
Dammit! You should've known she'd spot that! Choosing to remain silent, you pray she will give up. No such luck.
"I'm not going anywhere. Let me in, right now, or I will send out a few messages about your secret..."
Panic gripping you tighter, you need to make a decision...
