All of a sudden, all the tension between Tom's hands and the ones under the couch disappears. Melissa, now only being pulled from one direction, ends up flying in that direction.
For better or for worse, that direction happened to be right into Tom.
Tom blinked and rubbed his head, having fallen onto his back. "Melissa are you..." Tom trailed off, lifting his head to see her. "....okay."
Laying- now sitting, as she started to get up- on his torso was his athletic friend- now minus her dress. Melissa was slow to react, so before she covered up, Thomas was able to get a good look at her toned, tanned body, dark against the contrast of her strapless bra and small white panties.
A moment of realization later, and she's backed up against the wall, covering herself as best as she can with a pillow.
"Melissa," Tom starts, marginally less distracted now that she isn't on top of him, "are you okay?"
"Okay?!" Melissa half-laughs, half-shouts, "About as okay as I can be, I guess!" Not wanting his friend to panic, Thomas chooses his next words carefully.
"Hey, it's alright," he explains, trying not to let his eyes wander over her too much, "I can help." When Melissa continues to look at him skeptically, he continues. "Look, how about I..."
