"Woooooohoooooooooo!!!!"
Thomas winced at the shouting, but couldn't help but grin; he was just as excited. His best friend Jack (the loud guy currently jumping around and rambling about how they would have so much fun) had invited him on a trip for Spring Break, and he wasn't one to refuse. Also invited were Jill, Melissa, and Rachel, three girls he had been friends with since freshman year.
"Geeze, Jack," Melissa started, "calm down!" Melissa was a fairly tall girl, tan skin and athletic build. Her brown hair was drawn back in a pony-tail, which would Thomas might call cute if it wasn't for the grimace she was directing at their mutual friend.
"Calm?" Jack asked, "Come on! We're at Thrillride Park!" The sign above Jack agreed with him; it displayed the parks name in big lit-up letters, along with it's slogan: "A Ride You Won't Forget!" It's probably one of the best and biggest parks in North America, and Tom was hoping it lived up to it's reputation. Of course, Jack's parents didn't feel the same way; they had elected to stay back at the hotel, promising to catch up later. This didn't seem to dampen Jack's mood any, much to Melissa's chagrin
Melissa just sighed. "You could at least be a little quieter..." she mumbled, walking along as the group made its way through the main gate.
"Ah, let him be excited," Jill said, grinning. She was shorter than her friend, but her full figure ensured that no one would mistake her for a child. "Hell, I'm ready to start shouting, too!" Tom chuckled as he and his friends came to a stop in front of a large fountain, people moving in herds around it.
"So," Rachel asked, "what are we doing first?" Rachel spoke softly, as usual, her red hair floating in the breeze. She was skinny, sort of a beanpole really, but Thomas had always found her pretty.
"We need to see the rides first, obviously," Melissa started, "The lines are already starting to get long. I'd like to get on more than one of them today, y'know..." Thomas noticed she was right; most people were funneling in towards the roller-coasters, which were peering out over the top of the trees.
"Oh, but what about the water park?" Jill asked, "it's so hot today, and it's not like the rides won't be here tomorrow." Jill turned to face her red headed friend. "What about you, Rachel?"
"Well," she said, "I was actually hoping we could take a look around first? I hear they have a haunted house..."
"I'm up for anything!" Jack said, "Thomas, how about you?" Thomas paused for a moment, looking back and forth between his friends, before deciding on...
