The sound of a car engine grabs your attention, you look around and spot a dust cloud in the distance and it was getting closer. You dropped into a crouch and observed the car as it neared your hiding spot, you guessed that if the car continued on its path it would pass a couple feet in front of you. As the car got about half a mile away you dropped into a prone position and prayed that the driver didn't accidentally run you over. Suddenly you hear the car stop and judging from the sound it had stopped a couple yards in front of you, you hear the sound of doors opening and people walking around, "we can't just leave her here" said a female voice. "What choice do we have, we don't have the food and water to take care of her, or would you rather put her out of her misery instead?" said a male voice.
"No you're right, she will stand a better chance on her own I guess" said the female. "Come on, say your goodbyes and lets get going" said the male again. you hear the sound of a door opening followed by the sound of an animal collar jingling. The female started talking to what you assumed was an pet, she was talking so quietly you couldn't hear what she was saying, but you could tell she was starting to cry. After what seemed like fifteen minutes the male and female get in their car and leave, but you heard the sounds of an animal making sad whimpering sounds, it was heartbreaking for you to lay there and listen to this animal make these noises.
