Chapter #5

Boardgame

    by: Unknown
The boadgame was called "The Forms of Life," although it looks more like a knock off of the Game of Life. The board was already set up on display with the spinner, three card decks, and all eight pieces already in place (Red, blue, green, yellow, light blue, purple, black, and white)

The from behind, you hear a voice, "Hello!" You nearly jump out of your skin and see the store clerk behind you. "I see you have interest in this game madam."

"Um, not really," you answer honestly, "It just looks like the Game of Life but more basic."

"Ah, on the surface it looks that way, but this one is special, as in it affects the player as well!"

"Oh really?" you say sarcastically, "Then how does it work?"

"Well as you can see, the board is made up of 99 spaces, plus the finish and start spaces. In order to win, you must get to the end. And whatever space you land on, you have to draw a card from the appropriate deck. Like if you land on a green space, you draw a green card."

"And I'm assuming these cards all do something special?"

"Indeed! Each one does a difference transformation on you!" he said enthusiastically. You try to contain your laughter at the remark.

"If you land on a green space," the clerk continued. then you will gain something, which is usually a good thing in this game. If you land on a red space, then you will draw a red card, which will make you lose something, you want to avoid these as much as possible. If you land on a yellow space, then you and another player will have to transfer something between each other. Whoever is on the receiving or giving end will be determined by the card."

This game was stupider than you thought. "So, to get started," you said half seriously, "I just spin and move my piece?"

"Of course,"The clerk gestured to the spinner, "want to give it a try?" he asked.

Out of cockiness, you decide to entertain the cook's ramblings and give the wheel a spin.

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. Roll a 4, Land on a Green Space

2. Roll a 9, Land on a Red Space

*Pen*
3. Roll a 5, land on a Yellow Space

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
