While entering Newlife, Barbara Julies reflected on her life. A couple years after graduating from college, she fell in love with a man and they dated several times until they got married. A few years after that, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, and a couple years afterwards, a handsome son. And her husband was very supportive of her decisions. Seems like a happy life, right?
Well, it was, but at times, Babs felt bored of the happy lifestyle and sometimes wished that she could temporarily go into a new life. That was when she discovered Newlife. When she told her family that she was going to "take a break," as she puts it, they supported her choice, since they knew that she would be back eventually.
The middle-aged woman smiled as she told the doctors at Newlife to give her a new body and life for a while. They told her to lie down for a while, which she did. Barbara closed her eyes as she waited for her new life...
"Mrs. Julies, wake up!" she heard.
"I'm up, I'm up!" she said as she woke up.
The doctor told her, "Congratulations! You are now a new person."
Babs looked at herself in a nearby mirror. She still had her face. But of course, the rest of her body was covered in a sheet.
"Are you ready to see your new body?"
"I am."
The doctor pulled over the sheet, and Barbara saw that from the neck down, she was...
